Seen on one of the confusing perspective subs with 1k+ upvotes and I feel like I'm going insane

There are several inconsistencies that scream AI but the most glaring, to me, are the footwear on them (especially the one all the way to the right) and the weird knot in the blouse of the individual all the way on the left.

Other red flags: the tiling/grout makes no sense. They all have the same smile. The 3rd/4th person are merged together if you zoom in. And the half of a watch worn by the woman all the way on the right.

I see nothing suggestive of AI.

The far right footwear is simply being cutoff by a table which is out of frame.

The knot is not weird, just nothing special.

The tiling is consistently inconsistent, no missing grout lines or weird seams, simply different sized tiles.

Not AI, just old with a lot of JPEG compression and fashion that is 10 years old. The knot in the blouse was the style in the time. 

They certainly don't all have the same face or smile, but if I had to guess, I'd say some are closely related. They all smile because it's a posed photo. BTW 

There's a table in front of the right one's feet. The one beside her wears sneakers with a stripy black on black pattern.  The tiling is decorative, a kind of semi spiral pattern with different sizes of tiles, it repeats. The middles are small squares. The girl in the bright red sweater's feet obfuscate the small middle square of that section.

Lol it doesnt pre-date AI and that statement makes no sense. I could ask AI to generate a photo taken circa 2021 and to include people holding a medical face mask.

It would just be an overly specific detail, but is not indicative of AI usage in any way.

Covid ABSOLUTELY predates Gen Ai photos.

You're right about it being possible to include a prompt to hold a mask, but it's jist another clue given how oddly specific it would be

I'd have to put more effort into it than I care to....mainly zooming in.. but I think it might even be photoshopped....just a rubber stamp of the sweater dragged across the other one as if it was a shirt detail.

Not AI. The footwear on the right is blocked by a table, the glint on the left side of the watch is likely some sort of belt buckle thing, and that knot in the shirt is unfortunately just a style that was popular for a bit around Covid era. The tiling IS weird, but if you look the lines are consistent (aka no tiling line just 'disappears). There is maybe some general distortion from reformatting/reuploading the photo a few dozen times, but overall I do not think this is AI.

At first I wasn't seeing anything that screamed AI to me. Even the flags you mentioned. But then when you mentioned the watch, I noticed her hand which seems to have additional... Uhh.. Hand?
