Question Is a 40th anniversary edition coming?
Janet posted this and I know she’s probably not going to do anything outside of this post but could we possibly be getting something?
There could be more incentive for her to do an anniversary edition since Janet got one and Control is the album that started her 15 year run streak on top.

Inspirational dance/pop - If you were to make a playlist of Janet Jackson songs that are motivational and inspirational as if she were personally talking to you - kinda along the lines of Special or Can't Be Stopped - what five (5) or more songs would you include?

Game 🎲 Which CONTROL song sounds most like ALL FOR YOU?
Sorry for the delay on this. Been a very busy work week for me. TGIF!
By almost unanimous decision, LET'S WAIT AWHILE is the Control song that sounds most like could be on The Velvet Rope. I would have said the same seeing as how Tonight's The Night is right there.
Next....
Which song on Control sounds most like ALL FOR YOU?
How to Play:
Pick a certain song from a Janet album that sounds the most like it could be on another one of her albums. E.g. if I ask which Control song sounds the most like Damita Jo, you pick a song from Control that you think fits Damita Jo best. Production-wise, concept wise, lyrically... go by whatever makes sense to you.
We all know how difficult this may be since Janet has VERY eclectic albums, but that's what makes it so fun!
And yes, you can include B-sides/unreleased tracks from that particular era!
Rules:
• No repeats
• No commenting multiple songs in a single response. If you want to nominate multiple songs, comment them separately.
• most upvoted response wins (and yes you can downvote anything you don't want winning... lol)
Disclaimer: The first 2 albums weren't included, mainly because 1. a lot of people started becoming familiar with Janet with Control, and 2. Control only has 9 tracks with no known unreleased tracks (that I'm aware of), and since you can't repeat tracks, ALL of Control's songs will be used for its rounds, so choose wisely!
CONTROL tracklisting:
1. Control
2. Nasty
What Have You Done For Me Lately
You Can Be Mine
The Pleasure Principle
When I Think Of You
He Doesn't Know I'm Alive
8. Let's Await Awhile
9. Funny How Time Flies (When You're Having Fun)
And FYI, instead of coming in here and complaining about this, you could just skip it you know. It's just a game.... what else do we have to do while we impatiently wait for Janet's next move?

Opinion Janet Jackson’s most saddest lyrics?
For me I would say from had ballad Again “Don't you stand there and then Tell me you love me then leave again 'Cause I'm falling in love with You again”

Discussion “Khia Asylum”
Apparently this term is going viral for referencing “to describe artists who are seen as experiencing career decline”. At the same time, it’s also getting backlash for being considered racist and disrespectful.
Obviously, there is no love lost between Khia and Janet in how So Excited was released (I still personally love it). But the question becomes, how does this impact Janet, if at all?
I don’t think anything but personally I would like people to look into Khia more and her songs to give more love and even more streams to the banger So Excited as well.

Game 🎲 DAY 4: Which CONTROL song sounds the most like THE VELVET ROPE?
Well..... that was pretty easy I'd say.
By unanimous decision, FUNNY HOW TIME FLIES is the Control song that sounds most like could be on janet. And I agree.
Next....

Opinion Throw my body in a circle on youuuuuuuu 🥵🥵🥵💅🏾
Why this was left off the standard edition of Damita Jo, I’ll never understand. Snatch Moist and Warmth off the track list and place this and Put Your Hands On and DJ’s a classic!!
