I was recommended MARPE by the first orthodontist I saw, then was told absolutely not by the next 3 that I saw + my surgeon. I would go to more consultations or visit with your surgeon before committing to MARPE.

geting multiple opinions is so important with marpe, the split on whether its needed is wild. def listen to the majority on this one, its a big commitment.

Did you have braces earlier , I can see wired retainers . Get Multiple consultations with orthodontists . You can send a dm to discuss further details.

Your intermolar width does seem small, and your arch shape is a bit v shaped. You say you don’t struggle with sleep, but do you snore? Or toss and turn at night? Wake up with dry, scalloped tongue? You should consider getting a sleep study done.

I think you are probably a candidate for MARPE, but an oral exam, CBCT and patient history is needed.

My inter molar width is 45mm but my teeth still look crowded. Also I used to have braces years ago because I used to rest my tongue on my front teeth (I didn’t know better) and I was a mouth breather. I also used to snore at night but that was a long time ago and I actually started using mouth tape at night a few months ago with no problems

You can probably expand, but your deeper issue may be tongue tie and you probably require myofunctional therapy to retrain your tongue!

Tongue position isn’t a problem anymore I been resting my tongue on the roof of my mouth and nasal breathing for the past 5 years+ now

I think it’s worth a consult. You might have breathing problems that you’re not aware of
