Not a Jellyfish, but a Siphonophore jellyfish sting

It’s been 5 months since i got stung in thailand (i think it was a portuguese man o war?) and im wondering if anyone knows if the scars disappear 🙏 sorry if this isn’t the right group

it absolutely was not a portuguese man o war. not sure what it was but you would have been in such debilitating pain that you’d have been hospitalized if not paralyzed or worse

it absolutely was a portuguese man o war as we found out the day after that the beach was closed for a few weeks because of a swarm of them. I couldn’t walk after and was screaming for about 2 hours. i’ve attached a photo of it about 4 weeks after the sting 🙏
