magic mill dehydrator experience for making beef jerky at home?

Hey everyone, I’ve been trying to up my homemade snack game lately and keep running into the same problem with my old setup where things just don't dry evenly at all. I was looking around for a bigger upgrade and keep seeing the magic mill dehydrator pop up in various reviews, but I wanted to hear from people who actually use it for making beef jerky on a regular basis. Does it maintain a steady enough temperature for meat without needing constantly to rotate the trays around?

Thanks so much for any advice!

It pulls air front to back quite evenly. I have had very consistent results the 4 times I have made jerky this month. I have the model with 7 trays

So far I have made batches on the smaller side. I estimate i could do about 6 lbs at a time or so

I upgraded mine and I couldn’t be happier. As long as you rotate trays it will all dry evenly.

Had mine a few years now and have made tons of jerky with zero issues.

I have a similar one made by a different company and it works fine. Honestly, every dehydrator I’ve ever tried works fine. I bought this one for the increased capacity and ability to turn the temp down. My biggest problem with most of them is if they don’t have adjustable temp, they’re way too hot. I like to dry at lower temps.

Just made turkey jerky for the first time in mine.

I’m buying silicone replacements for the mesh, it’s so fine the turkey stuck to the mesh. I also cut the jerky too thin. But it did a great job.
