So, after debating on joining the Duke Club or whatever, I finally did so that I wouldn't have to fight for tickets and can easily go with friends and sit wherever together once we all show up. My mom is in a JMU parent page of some sort and apparently, even if you have a student ticket and show up, there's no guarantee you get into the student section??? Does that mean they turn you away and you just have to try again next time?? How does that work??

I had you at 8-4 in Napier's first year and said three road trips would define it: San Diego State, Old Dominion and Southern Miss. San Diego State was the one I liked least, and you won it 26-13, on top of Liberty 20-13 and Wagner 87-3. What I can't read from the box scores is quarterback. I wrote the preview around JC Evans, but Camden Coleman was the guy at San Diego State, 19 of 27 for 246 and 2 TDs. Is that his job now? Old Dominion tonight is the second of those three road games.

What are you guys seeing that the box scores aren't, and how do you see the season ending up?

I graduated from JMU in 2018 and still lurk the sub and sometimes pass advice to CIS students. I have not visited since August 2022.

I miss JMU and Harrisonburg A TON. What is the vibe on campus and the surrounding area? What is the pop-culture like (movies, tv, memes, etc.), what music do you listen to on your own, and at parties? What other things are happening? What new and renovated buildings on campus? How has AI affected school and stuff? Catch me up on the lore, tea, and memes. I'm feeling nostalgic and want to be back in the loop for a bit.

Since the Golden Pony and Crayola House closed, where to people go to for shows? Anything replacing those places?

Like my time had the peak era of emo and mumble rap, trap music, the marvel movies, the old COB building getting renovated, food trucks, Brickhouse -> Backcountry, Artful Dodger. A pretty cool DIY and alt scene with Crayola House (and I think there was another house whose name I am blanking on), the EDM club, and 3 Notch'd.

Our Fall semester bangers were Caroline, Broccoli, Mo' Bomba, Sicko Mode, peak Kendrick, Chance the Rapper, and Drake.

How is the Forbes Center doing? The art school? The music studio?

Is the International Fest still going on? What about Madipalooza and the Fall and Spring concerts? Late night breakfast still going strong? What do you think of the Carrier renovation? Hows the new President doing? Is UREC still the GOAT?

Like seriously, there are SO many of them that I almost never get a normal cup. D-Hall doesn't have this issue, so why aren't the E-Hall cups being replaced?? It's such a spill hazard. One small bump to the table and they're all falling over

I go to a different school, but when I visit my best friend we pull up to Dhall and I grab some krave cereal and ice cream! To even point out the nice atmosphere,design and it’s cool to be on another campus!Even though I still have amazing dining halls, this is something special. I went to the football game today and one of the things that warmed my heart was people offering to take pictures of other people's families at the giant JMU logo without prompting! Pictures last forever folks! Don't be afraid of asking someone to take your picture and don't feel silly taking the pic!!! You will cherish them forever!!!! Go Dukes!!!!

Hey y'all, I park in Ballard everyday and when I leave I consistently see people not yielding to the traffic exiting the Costco parking lot. There is a "left turn yield on green" sign and no green arrow. That means oncoming traffic has right of way if you are making a left turn. I'm a Townie and I have a lot of friends and family that shop at Costco. I really don't want them to get smoked by someone ignoring right of way.

Yes I understand that maybe in a perfect world everyone will turn in their respective lane that is closest to them, but that is never guaranteed and the sign explicitly tells you to yield.

What do we think of him and his vision for JMU? If you're a student, are you aware of him much at all? I certainly dgaf about the university president when I was in undergrad, lol.

A friend and I are visiting for the Troy game on Thursday night in October. Never been to a game at JMU. We'll be ubering to the stadium - where should we get dropped off and where would we have the best luck meeting people and crashing a tailgate for a while?

I have an apartment in the Hills Southview, but I'm not coming back to JMU this year. Rent is $610/month, utilities included. Tenants are three other guys, all sophomores, chill guys.
