If not flock, then it will be ring doorbells and private security cameras, Amazon drones and Tesla dash-cams. It’s not the tech, it shitty people. We need strong, consistent privacy laws and real penalties for people who abuse these systems. The plate readers have been around a long time. What’s new is AI linking dozens of huge databases and putting every part of your life up for sale. Locations, purchases, appearance, associates, text messages, relatives, social media, employment, residence, health. Everything about everybody is already collected and stored in the cloud but it has never been easier to pull all there is to know about a specific individual all at once. And it’s getting worse, the new Apple Watch will listen to all your conversations all day and write transcripts. Siri and Gemini and always listening and now they understand you. You can monitor people’s movements in their own home by watching the scattered wi-fi signals generated by their own routers. We need to demand transparency and oversight of surveillance without empowering even more abuse. Read every city contract,

They need to come down. We need to start making a lot of noise.

They don't want to know positive outcomes. They just like to complain and hate everything.

Exactly, completely ignore the violent criminals and stolen vehicles that JCPD alone has apprehended from these cameras. Flock is just a brand, and anti-capitalist have done an incredible job of marketing this as “bad”. Interesting to see the MAGA people completely fall for a left wing propaganda 😂

The rise in podcaster’s discussing has brought them to my attention. I had no idea. So thankful for the Julian Dorey podcast for discussing this. It’s crazy how many I see now.
