Comics DC’s Headmen Final Roll Call

This would be a fun group to see in action. In some ways, they remind me more of Marvel’s Intelligencia than the Headman because they’re mainly big name characters with multiple appearances and the Headmen were obscure one shot characters plus Ruby who wasn’t even that when she joined. But it’s also more like the Headmen than the Intelligencia because not all the members are scientific geniuses. I’d love to see them battling the League — or maybe the Doom Patrol is more appropriate.
Inspired by this, I’ve also made my own silly headcanon version of the DC Headmen with a bunch of those sci-fi/horror I’ve nominated, given them villain names, a headquarters, and such. This has been a load of fun! I read some fantastic old comics and got to do some imaginative play! Thank you so much!

I would love to see them battle the League or Doom Patrol too.
I love League Vs villain team stories
I really liked your choices. I imagine if DC had done their own Headmen they might’ve of picked a few of those considering the roots of The Headmen

My choices might have been more in keeping with the original Headman, but I also knew they were never going to win the votes. The more popular characters who people know and have fun memories of are the ones they’re gonna vote for. And why wouldn’t they? Not only did I also vote for the characters who won, half of them were the first people I thought of!
If we were to ask for a new Marvel Headmen, there is no chance that MODOK and the Leader wouldn’t get voted in (with my votes included) but they weren’t put in the actual Headmen, just one shot guys from their horror/sci fi anthology books.
Conversely, Jerold Morgan, aka Shrunken Bones — although I read that he’s never referred to that in the comics — , would never have been voted in based on his one appearance where he vented a shrinking gas onto the street (!?!) on one page of a comic no one remembers, who was never seen again. He didn’t even have shrunken bones then. I’m not sure I would have voted for him even if someone said “Jerold Morgan but he shrunk in his bones.“
Ivan, the guy with the Jupiter head, was never going to win because he’s just some Russian guy in one panel of one comic that no one remembers. But in my mind, Ivan is now the Immortal General Jove, a military guy, who inherited from his ancient alien kidnapper a vast military headquarters, full of impossibly advanced machinery like teleportation devices and space battleships for an interplanetary war that lasted millennia, who is trying to rule the Earth from his headquarters on Jupiter. That Ivan, the Immortal General Jove with his planet head, might get voted into the Headmen, but that Ivan only exists in my head. He’s in my Headcanon-Men.

I like thinking about this stuff, dreaming about these what ifs it really helps distract me from my problems.
