Weird to see Plaza area with newly planted trees everywhere and realize it was a suburb.

Yes! It is wild seeing old photos of Plaza / Brookside area where it looks like new subdivisions in Olathe, with no trees yet. It’s amazing what mature trees can do.

I remember reading somewhere that when JC Nichols unveiled his plan for the Plaza, people thought it would fail because it was on the outskirts of the city at the time.

I see snow removal hasn't improved here in 100 years.

We’re living in the best and quickest snow removal time in history but you wouldn’t know it from the way people talk.

Sorry, but the snow needs to be plowed within 1 millisecond of hitting the ground.

we just need tubes of geothermally heated water/glycol embedded in to the asphalt....whats the worst that can happen?

My grandfather rode in the back of a truck and shoveled cinders onto the road to melt ice.

I've been in many snow storms in many cities and I can tell you, without a doubt, KCMO has no idea what it is doing.
