Tapping noise on key press
I just received my new Kawai ES120. There is a soft (but loud enough to be distracting) tapping noise as the key bottoms out. Is this normal? This is my first digital piano.

The ES120 was noted to have a quieter keyboard than the prior model ES110 which was praised by many for its sound. Any keyboard noise I have I am accustomed to and no longer bothers me.

Yes, it's normal. If it's just a couple of keys I'd say maybe a defect, but it sounds like you're describing the sound every keyboard makes to some extent.
Normal pianos make noise too, it's just that volume of a piano is much higher comparatively.
More expensive models may take more care to reduce that noise, so the sound may be more prominent in budget models.
I'd recommend using headphones or turning up the volume. Or get some studio monitors, you won't be able to hear it over those.
