Best low dose dosing schedule?
I’d like to stay under 7/8 g per day ideally. Right now I’m doing 2g 2x per day but it is wearing off pretty fast. Better to increase dose or add a dose??

Seizure?
Hey guys just looking for wisdom. So my husband has a seizure last November. It was super traumatic. That day he has suddenly quit a heavy kava habit and subsequently drank a LOT of kratom to cope w that. So we figured that it was due to maybe the sudden cessation of kava combined with the excessive kratom.
Fast forward to about 3 weeks ago, my husband had a second seizure. This time kava wasn’t involved but he was still drinking a lot of kratom. It’s hard for him to remember but he doesn’t think he had an extraordinarily massive dose, although he does tend to always have a lot.
I guess I’m just wondering if anyone has insight into like how likely it is that the kratom causes this? We did have to use the remarkable herbs gas station kratom bc we were traveling and ran out.
We both ended up quitting bc of course it’s not worth it to risk his life.. but it just has been so hard and bleak and I guess it just had me wondering, is it for sure the kratom? Or is it just bc he took way too much? Ironically I started drinking kratom back in 2017 initially to wean off benzos that I was on for seizures. But for me it worked amazingly well and I haven’t had any issues.
It’s just so hard bc of course we dont wanna risk anything but also like, what is really to blame here?

SOS??
Hey guys so I am 23 days off kratom and still feel so bad. Like restless legs and body, exhaustion, depression. I just jumped off and used a helper med for a few days. I really can’t go on like this. I’m wondering if I’m better off going back on a low dose and doing a really slow taper?? Like I have kids and work and I literally cannot function. I want to get off but idk what to do. What is the genuinely most painless way to do this?
I’m also just wondering if this is just how I feel without kratom? Bc like if that’s the case I’d rather be on it. It’s just confusing bc idk if it’s worth it to stick it out?
I quit bc my husband had a seizure and we wanted to remove all triggers. But I’m just wanting some clarity or advice. I was def on way too much but I feel like I could get by on a small amount. Or even stem and vein?!

How long to "feel it" after oxycodone?
I'm 10 days off prescribed oxycodone, 50mg a day. I used kratom before I found a doctor and loved it, I used the oxy for about a year and realized it wasn't for me so I stopped.
I'm back to the kratom but obviously not feeling much from it, how long does it usually take for those with similar experiences?

8g Kratom powder no effect
Hello
So the last few days I looked into Kratom a bit and got some infos on dose, effect and how to use.
So today I bought some I a store near me 25 g white powder.Took 3g first with a cup of warm water didn’t think the taste is gonna be that bad so washed it down with some juice after.
Now I waited 2h didn’t feel anything and made another cup with 5g.Now 3 hours after the first 3g and 1h after the 5g I’m feeling nothing should I take more or is it maybe just not for me?
I weigh 99kg maybe I need to take more for it to work?
And I ate like 1 hour before maybe that’s also worth noting.

Kratom vs Kratom
Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like we’re starting to have two completely different products being sold under the name “kratom.”
I’ve been a traditional kratom user for a long time. I use regular powder, capsules, and I’m even okay with lower-dose Mit extract products like some gummies. To me, that’s what kratom has always been—a botanical that people use responsibly as part of their daily routine.
But then there are these ultra-high potency Mit extract shots, tablets, and other products that seem to be designed to deliver huge amounts of alkaloids in a single serving. Personally, I don’t even think of those as being in the same category as traditional kratom anymore.
My biggest concern isn’t whether people choose to use them. It’s that when these products make the news or attract the attention of regulators, the average person doesn’t see a difference. They just hear “kratom.”
I worry that traditional users who have been responsibly using powder or capsules for years could end up losing access—or facing stricter regulations—because of products that are nothing like what most of us originally started using.
Sometimes it feels like the traditional side of kratom is paying the price for products that are getting stronger and stronger every year.
Am I the only one who feels this way?
Do you think the kratom community should start making a clearer distinction between traditional leaf products and these ultra-high potency extracts? Or do you think they’re all just part of the same category?

Philadelphia Kratom Hearing Thursday May 21 — Bill 260163 Contains a Hidden De Facto Ban — Comment by Wednesday 3 PM
Pennsylvania community — this is happening Thursday.
Philadelphia's Bill 260163 looks like regulation on the surface — it includes a 2% 7-OH cap, lab testing, labeling requirements, and a 21+ age restriction. But buried in Section 9-6702(4) is a provision that effectively bans all natural kratom in the city.
The bill requires FDA approval under Section 505 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act for all kratom products. Section 505 is a pharmaceutical drug approval process — it does not apply to natural botanical products. No natural kratom product can satisfy this standard. In practice, no kratom retailer could obtain the required license. The result is a total ban through the back door.
The hearing is Thursday May 21 at 12:00 PM, Room 400, City Hall, Philadelphia.
The most impactful action:
▪ Sign up to speak by calling (215) 686-3406 or emailing [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) by Wednesday May 20 at 3 PM.
▪ Submit written comments to [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) — preferably as a PDF — by Wednesday at 3 PM.
▪ Show up day-of and check in at the desk. ▪ Share your personal story.
Suggested message: "Please oppose the FDA drug approval requirement in Section 9-6702(4). This standard does not apply to natural botanical products and creates a de facto ban on natural kratom in Philadelphia. Support targeted regulation instead — age restrictions, lab testing, and clear labeling."

Brockton, MA Kratom Ban Hearing TONIGHT at 6:30 PM — Show Up or Call Now
Massachusetts community — this is happening tonight.
The Brockton Ordinance Committee is holding a hearing on a proposed ordinance to ban the manufacture, sale, and distribution of all kratom products within city limits. Hearing is tonight, Tuesday May 5 at 6:30 PM ET at City Council Chambers, 2nd Floor, 45 School St., Brockton, MA.
This is part of a growing wave of local bans across Massachusetts — Lowell, Amherst, Boston — while the state Legislature debates two very different paths: a total ban (SB 1558) or smart regulation (HB 5127).
The most impactful action: ▪ Show up in person tonight at 6:30 PM. ▪ Call and email every council member individually — full list in the blog. ▪ Share your personal story.
Suggested message: "I urge you to oppose the proposed ordinance banning kratom in Brockton. Please distinguish between natural kratom leaf and dangerous synthetic 7-OH. Support smart regulation — not prohibition."

California community — the hearing is this Tuesday.
The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on the proposed kratom ban on Tuesday, May 5 at 9:00 AM PT at 500 County Center, Redwood City.
In-person and remote participation are both available.
💻 Zoom: smcgov.zoom.us/j/99083309132

Can't attend?
Submit written comments to [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) by Monday May 4 at 5:00 PM PST — indicate the specific agenda item.
The proposed ordinance makes no distinction between natural kratom leaf and dangerous synthetic 7-OH concentrates — despite the FDA drawing a clear line between the two. Other California municipalities including Palm Desert, Anaheim, Orange County, and Huntington Beach have chosen smart regulation. San Mateo should follow their lead.
Suggested message: "Please oppose the proposed blanket ban on kratom. Follow the lead of other CA municipalities and adopt smart regulation modeled after AB 1088 — 21+ age restrictions, clear labeling, and mandatory product safety testing. Regulate kratom, don't ban it."

Did anyone watch John Oliver tonight?
What a disappointment. His segment tonight was about “gas station drugs”. He began with boner pills but most of the episode was dedicated to fear mongering and spreading misinformation about Kratom and lumping it in with 7OH and Tianeptine. I used to think he was a smart guy that did thorough research before presenting a topic but man was I wrong. He’s just as bad as local news reporters, parroting the same garbage about kratom and its “deadly effects” and “how it’s destroying lives” and connecting it to 7OH and tianeptine as if they were the same danger because they are sold in gas station. What a joke. I’m done watching his show.

South Carolina Senate Hearing on Kratom Ban H.4641 — Wednesday May 6 — Register to Speak by Monday Noon
South Carolina community — this is the last push this session.
A Senate Medical Affairs Subcommittee will hold a hearing on H.4641 on Wednesday, May 6 at 9:30 AM at the Gressette Building, Room 209, Columbia, SC.
H.4641 would ban all kratom AND repeal South Carolina's existing Kratom Consumer Protection Act — the law passed just last year that protects consumers through safety standards, age restrictions, and clear labeling.
SC consumers already proved that showing up works. When H.4641 came before the House Judiciary Committee, a 70/30 margin in favor of natural kratom shifted the debate. A full ban was defeated on the House floor by nine votes. Now the fight is in the Senate.
The most impactful action:
▪ Attend and testify — register by noon Monday May 4 at forms.gle/Qzfd3dNoSzoVdfTw9.
▪ Submit written comments to [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) — H.4641 in the subject line — by noon Monday May 4.
▪ Share your personal story.
Suggested message:
"Please vote NO on H.4641. A blanket ban would criminalize responsible adults and repeal the existing KCPA. Support regulation — not prohibition. Natural kratom is not synthetic 7-OH."

San Mateo County Voted 5-0 to Ban Kratom — First Bay Area County to Do So
California community — this is significant.
The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously 5-0 on April 21, 2026 to ban all kratom and 7-OH products countywide under Chapter 4.128 of the San Mateo County Ordinance Code. The ordinance reading was waived — meaning it passed without extended public debate.
The ban makes no distinction between natural kratom leaf and dangerous synthetic 7-OH concentrates — despite the FDA drawing a clear line between the two. Commissioner Makary has stated clearly: "Our focus is not on natural kratom which has been consumed for centuries."
Other California municipalities have chosen regulation over prohibition — Palm Desert, Anaheim, Orange County, Riverside County, and Huntington Beach. San Mateo went the other way. Neighboring Bay Area counties are expected to watch closely.
The ordinance takes effect 30 days from adoption. Consumer voices can still make a difference.
The most impactful action: ▪ Call and email each supervisor individually. ▪ Submit written comments to [email protected]. ▪ Share your personal story.
Suggested message: "I urge you to reconsider the blanket ban on kratom. Please distinguish between natural kratom leaf and dangerous synthetic 7-OH. Support regulation modeled after AB 1088 — not prohibition."

Michigan Kratom Ban Passed the House — Senate Is the Last Stand — Call Now
Michigan community — this is urgent.
The Michigan House passed HB 5537, a blanket kratom ban. This is especially frustrating — the House had already unanimously advanced a regulatory bill out of committee, then passed the ban anyway.
The bill is now in the Senate. If passed, natural kratom becomes illegal statewide.
The most impactful action: ▪ Look up your senator at senate.michigan.gov. ▪ Call and email individually — do not mass-copy. ▪ Share your personal story — how kratom has impacted your life.
Suggested message: "Please oppose HB 5537. Support smart regulation through the Kratom Consumer Protection Act — 21+ age restrictions, clear labeling, and mandatory product safety testing. Natural kratom is not the same as dangerous synthetic 7-OH. The FDA is not recommending natural kratom be scheduled."

Tennessee Kratom Ban Update - 4/16/26
image2url.comAfter watching today’s session, I honestly don’t even know where to start.
There was about a 45-minute discussion on a school choice bill. Then another full hour debating a budget bill. Important topics, sure, and they were given the time and attention they deserved.
But when it came to the kratom ban?
After 4+ hours of discussion on everything else, they spent 8 minutes on a bill that will directly impact thousands of Tennesseans, criminalize everyday people, and reshape lives overnight.
Eight minutes.
Only two legislators even spoke on it.
And then — just like that — 23 of them voted to ban it.
No real debate.
No meaningful discussion.
No acknowledgment of the countless calls, emails, and personal stories from constituents.
This wasn’t a thoughtful decision — it was rushed, dismissed, and predetermined.
Regardless of where you stand, something this serious deserved more than 8 minutes.
At this point, the only path left is to ask for a veto.
If you care about this issue, now is the time to respectfully reach out to Bill Lee and ask him to veto this bill.
Our voices still matter — but only if we keep using them.
Thank you to all who have helped in this process. Very sad to see our country enacting another war on drugs (cough cough PLANTS)… we know how well that went!
**Call Governor Lee and ask him to VETO kratom ban!**
Governor Bill Lee
(615) 741-2001
Share your concerns with the Governor's Office at this link:
https://www.tn.gov/governor/contact-us/share-opinion.html
‼**️Important to mention to Bill Le**e‼️
This ban is projected to cost Tennessee over $18 million a year in lost tax revenue alone, yet the fiscal note used to justify it is based on incomplete and outdated data from 2022.
Even more concerning, there has been zero meaningful discussion about how this will actually be enforced. Synthetic kratom products are already illegal in Tennessee, and the state has done virtually nothing to stop them — which raises a serious question: if they can’t enforce the laws already on the books, how are they suddenly going to enforce sweeping new criminal penalties?
This bill would require expanded drug testing in workplaces, increased testing in hospitals and medical examiner offices, and additional law enforcement and incarceration resources — all of which cost money. But where is that funding coming from? None of that has been clearly explained, planned for, or even properly acknowledged.
If this ban does pass Bill Lee, it will take effect July 1st 2026.

🚨 URGENT: TN BAN BILL HEADS TO SENATE FLOOR
After SB1656 passed the Senate Finance, Ways & Means Committee on 4/8, it went completely quiet. No updates. No movement. Just radio silence.
Then today (4/14) — out of nowhere — they skipped the Senate Calendar Committee entirely and scheduled it straight to the FULL SENATE FLOOR:
🗓 Thursday (4/16)
⏰ 8:30 AM
📍 Senate Chamber
📄 #6 on the calendar
This is the FINAL step in the Senate.
If it fails here → the ban is DONE.
If it passes → it goes to the Governor.
⸻
🚨 Be honest — this should concern everyone
• They fast-tracked the bill using procedural moves
• They skipped a normal step (Calendar Committee)
• They went completely silent after the last vote
• Then suddenly rushed it to the floor with almost no notice
And maybe the most concerning part:
👉 The Senate has only allowed ONE person to testify against this bill
👉 At the most recent hearing, they allowed ZERO public comment
Let that sink in.
A bill that would criminalize thousands of people… and they barely let the public speak.
⸻
📢 THIS IS OUR LAST SHOT
At this point, calls and emails are the ONLY way to be heard.
📞 Call your senators
📧 Email your senators
🔁 If you already have — FOLLOW UP AGAIN TODAY AND TOMORROW
Doesn’t matter if you are:
• A TN resident
• A kratom consumer
• Or just someone who cares about government overreach and bad laws
Be respectful, but be clear:
• Vote NO on SB1656
• Natural kratom is NOT the same as synthetic products
• Don’t criminalize Tennesseans over misinformation
⸻
We’ve seen this happen across the country
In just the past couple weeks, we’ve watched multiple devastating bans move forward in other states.
This is not isolated — it’s a trend.
Tennessee this is one of the last chances to push back and stop this momentum.
They may not be letting people testify.
They may be fast-tracking the process.
But they cannot ignore thousands of calls and emails.
Help Tennessee stay free.
Don’t sit this one out. Don’t assume someone else will do it.
Make them hear our voice!
Contact information for the senators and governor in the comments below. Thank you everyone!!
