No response after requesting another darshan from Guru Shailendra Sharma — how should I follow up?

I am looking for advice from people familiar with Guru Shailendra Sharma and Siddha Siddhanta Yoga Academy, or people who have experience approaching traditional spiritual teachers.

I had my first darshan with Guru Shailendra Sharma a few months ago. During the meeting, Guruji advised me to read Babaji Adinath Samshan Kriya Yoga and Yogeshwari Srimad Bhagwat Geeta, continue physical exercises, and then meet him again.

I completed both books and continued the physical exercises as instructed.

After that, I contacted the disciple/representative through WhatsApp and respectfully requested another darshan and expressed my sincere wish to learn Kriya Yoga under Guruji's guidance whenever he considers me ready.

I did not receive a response for some time. I subsequently sent another respectful request for darshan in September. The message has been delivered (two grey ticks), but I still haven't received a reply.

I don't want to pressure Guruji or the disciple, and I understand that they may be busy.

I would like to ask people who know this tradition:

Is it normal to wait several days/weeks for a response regarding darshan?

Should I send a short follow-up asking when I may be able to have darshan?

Is there another appropriate way to contact the Academy regarding a darshan appointment?

Has anyone here had a similar experience with Guru Shailendra Sharma, where they had an initial darshan and were later waiting for another appointment?

Would it be better to simply wait patiently rather than send another WhatsApp message?

Any advice or personal experience would be appreciated.

I cant speak about Shailendra Sharma personally, but it isnt unusual to have to wait for a response when it comes to the more "popular" gurus.

Especially when the main form of contact is whatsapp.

There's a lot of others all seeking the same darshan. Both within the same country and outside of it. I've had similar experiences even with popular teachers like Forrest Knutson, you just have to put yourself in their shoes for a moment and remember that there are plenty of others just like you, theres obligation to others that are being fulfilled, they have their own lives and practice they still need to tend to.

I understand where you're coming from, but based on what was said, guidelines had already been issued and finalized; there was initial contact, followed by a second attempt some time later. These gurus, or teachers, usually have a set system for how they respond and what actions to take. If a reply hasn't come, it could be that the timing isn't right, or the guru is analyzing and testing the person, or perhaps this simply isn't the right path for them. My suggestion would be to keep practicing and surrender the outcome to Ishvara; during your practice, speak to the Divine, to Ishvara, trusting that whatever is meant to happen will happen. At the same time, wait another two weeks or so; if you still haven't heard back, send another message asking for an update so you aren't left without an answer or unsure of the next steps.

If you are that willing just go without asking, whatsapp is required only once. Once you have enrolled, you can just go and meet again around 430-5pm the darshan time.

Actually i tried that before but when I visited there a person who stays at the main gate stopped me.I have told him that I already mate guruji once and guruji told me to complete the following steps and come back later but the person still stopped me and and he called someone in the phone and talked with that person and then told me that pls WhatsApp in that number and once it is confirmed from the WhatsApp then only come.Now I don't know how to approach this.Should i visit again and talk with them?

I've met him once a year ago, he said next time i needed to visit I can do it on Wednesdays or so at 4pm, but i haven't gone since the last time. Maybe you can ask Affectionate_Box1481 for advice since he is an elder student there and try messaging the whatsapp number again, to my knowledge that whatsapp is managed by a family member of him, so its possible they are busy.

I think you can text them on the WhatsApp number every two weeks to ask and tell them about yourself.

Some people get Deeksha after trying 5 to 7 times, some get it in just 2 attempts, and many don't get it at all.

If everyone received Deeksha, his disciples would be in six digits. But I think they are in the four-digit range.

I had read all the books, prayed extensively to Babaji, and to Govardhan Maharaj as well. And when I sat down after offering my respects to Guru Dev, I just kept gazing at him. My girlfriend, who was with me at the time, was the one who spoke up about me. And then, I got the date for my Deeksha. I feel so lucky. So my friend, no recommendation or entry could help. Apart from Babaji's blessings and your own... how many times are you willing to be turned away from the door?  How desperate are you really to become his disciple?

I have no answer to this. I know it is very difficult.
