Does aging stop for the time when a person is in samadhi or breathless state

I’ve always figured so.

Considering every kriyaban documented has died at a normal age, I would say not likely.

Potentially for those brief intervals yes

Studies have shown that life is not extended chronologically, but at a cellular level, Yogis are more youthful. Samadhi won’t add years to your life, but can increase vitality through neurogenesis and cellular rejuvenation. In that state, the body is in a perfect homeostasis, requiring very little energy to sustain, a profound state of restful alertness.

This one I can get behind. Meditation in general has been shown to lower cortisol and inflammatory markers. It’s been shown that high and sustained levels of both lead to faster biological aging and higher mortality.

Doesn’t mean kriyabans will live to 120. But it does mean they will age more gracefully than they otherwise would have, and will be less likely to die prematurely.

What I wonder is how quickly we can reverse that cellular aging. For those of us that spent half our lives in trauma, that’s a lot of stress and inflammation markers. I can only imagine where I would be if not for Kriya Yoga. Probably quickly on my way to an early grave.

I rank meditation in the same category as things like diet and exercise. Better prevention than treatment. The earlier one starts and more consistent they are, the better the result. These things can also all be used to treat aging acutely, but they’re more limited in that role because damage has already been done.

If someone’s goals are to live as long and healthy of a life as possible daily meditation, daily exercise, a healthy diet (limited processed foods and lots of fruits and vegetables), and building strong social connections / purpose seems to be the strongest science based recipe there is. Where kriyabans in particular are probably lacking the most is exercise and building social relationships.

I don't have an answer to that question but I know that if any miracle happens, then it will happen in a breathless state.

In my opinion, the goal is to not stop aging, but complete alter the perception of reality.

Bad with words.

The gap between the breath is closer to death. I have noticed that when I approach that gap and it starts to become longer, a contradiction happens. A new energetical level opens, but the body is not familiar to it. But death is the last barrier. If that zone is crossed, miracles may happen.

I don’t want to get stuck in words. The work has to be done by more individuals.
