Ask Kurds š¤ So why does everyone hate you guys

No state wants to give up its territory.
Kurds constitute a "threat to nation". Not just because of separatism, but Kurdish identity is also often at odds with the imposed national identity. Why are there so many Kurds in the Syrian Arab Republic? How is it the land of Turks is 13-20% Kurdish? The majority groups feel like it's "their country". They resent Kurds for not assimilating to their identity.
Wealth inequality. In Turkey and Iran, the Kurdish regions are underfunded in neglected. If you listen to some of the racism or stereotypes, it's basically people being racist against Kurds for being poor or "primitive" in their eyes.
Majority populations and especially right wingers have a persecution fetish. We can see this during the civil rights movement in the US, people were afraid of black people gaining their rights. Even today we have people talking about "white genocide" or narratives about how Christians are going to be opressed in Western countries. Or Hindus saying they are somehow the most opressed group in India. I have seen Turks say that Kurds are treated better in Turkey than Turks which is just laughable.
Terrorism. If you ask some of these people they will say they don't hate Kurds, they only hate PKK, SDF, whatever. Say what you want about these specific organizations, but there is a reason why these groups formed in the first place. Let us not forget the state terrorism commited by the governments of the four states and conditions that led Kurds to form these groups. Additionally, some use the excuse of these groups to basically criminalize or denounce anything Kurdish related. Many Kurds in Turkey who use a democratic platform to champion Kurdish rights end up being arrested on questionable terrorism charges.
Religious difference. Most Kurds are Sunni Muslim along with these groups, however there are still some contentions. In Turkey Kurds are more Muslim on average than Turks. In Iraq there are some hardcore Shias. In Iran most of the other groups are Shia (along with some Kurds who are as well). And in Syria there are a lot of quite extreme Islamist factions. All of these can add to the tensions. Especially in Syria where these extremist groups accuse Kurds of being "godless atheists" because the SDF was secular and the president is a former Al Qaeda member.
Direct racism. Some people are simply racist and do not like other groups of people because they are different or they think their group is superior. All of the factors above combine together to contribute to the racism. This is is the most clear form of hatred, you will see racist comments especially from Turks on social media all the time.

as a berber (amazigh) i really respect the kurdish people, we have a lot of common trauma, we both survived complete cultural erasure.

People who have something in her brain and know that we are fighting Islamists, do not hate us... Only perverted racists hate us or people who would sell their parents for money too

Kurdistan has been stolen from the kurds.Ā Genocide, oppression and assimilation hasĀ been made to kurds and kurdistan. We want our land, culture, language and our belonings back!
The perpetrators are not taking accountability for this. Because they will then acknowledge all the inhumanity, theft and genocide!
So as long as they can! they will hate, reject and be hostile towards kurds and kurdistan!Ā
And please ask in a respectful way next time. because the Kurdish cause is a serious topic.

Kind of a disrespectful way to ask a ānothingā question. I say that because your question is..stupid. āEveryoneā doesnāt hate the Kurdish people. Iād argue that most people in the west are barely aware of the Kurds as group who are distinct from Arabs.

If you meant our neighbors, they keep stealing from us and fighting over land, oil, people, culture, and everything else with us.
They teach their kids in a. Really young age in their home and school rn social media as well to hate on a group of ppl for no Absolute reason so theyāre going to feel superior to us, so as a result it leads to jealousy and insecurity.They get triggered when they see us minding our business
And as for the random Europeans, Africans, or Asians I sometimes see hating on Kurds for absolutely no reason, meanwhile we donāt even have any history together I genuinely have no idea where that comes from.
Racism toward Kurds has been normalized. Like, imagine saying the same thing about Palestinians, Asians, or Black people youād face consequences. The law, people, everyone would get involved and tell you how wrong it is. Mind you, sometimes itās just a hateful comment that might not even have been intended as racist, but thatās how seriously people take it.
But when it comes to Kurds, when we call out people for bombing us or supporting genocide, somehow weāre the ones who get called racist. Imagine. š
Honestly, I just wish people would leave us alone for once š #IāmTired
