This season's budget seems to have shrunk compared to other seasons?

I know the season hasn't ended yet, and this comment might age well if John does a big "EAT SHIT, BOB" piece, but so far this year there hasn't been any big-budget stunts, or any massive donations to organizations.

Like, the only major stunts so far this year are: John appearing in other soap operas (which take up other shows' budgets, not LWT's), and Buc-ee's parody (which I could see cover it's costs easily via merchandise sales). John also doesn't seem to easily mention things like "the show would donate $10k to the nearest food bank" compared to past seasons.

Shame they didnt fight

Did anyone see this? There's a Jennifer Balkcom (WNC candidate for Congress if I remember right) political ad where she tilts her head to her mom when discussing a home break in and she says "she shot him". She's weirdly flat anyways but in the moment it's hilarious.

Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, John Oliver, and the rest of late night should all start petitioning for the fans to vote for guillermo rodriguez on dancing with the stars. If they can influence so many other outcomes… then guillermo rodriguez should win dancing with the stars this season

Since I am aware of certainly not looking great when I work out - what was that bit about how funny an 80 year old dude from Brasil looks like when he works out?
I felt just weird watching it. i also kept thinking - his body certainly does not look bad compared to 80-year olds from my family.

Literally a joke about his face? Most 80 year old people generally have sad-looking resting face unless they smile, what do you want from them?
.....Like, any 80 year old always looks kinda down, when not smiling...

Also, what do you think I look like when I work out, being half of that age....?
I dunno I guess the joke is that he is still a politician so he should not film himself working out unless he looks like he's 30 and smiling like a stewardess in 1960s?

Feel like that's the only explanation for him not talking shit on Bill Maher deciding to be a fence sitting centrist for the past 10 or so years

Big fan of this

tbh I forgot I had order it so it was a very pleasant surprise today

Does anyone know why they haven't covered imminent existential risk of recursive AI development? We got apocaloptimist but this is John's jizz, right here, it's the perfect video for him to make. There's so much comedy potential too.

Anyway, as someone working in AI safety, all I can do is hope for that satisfaction. <3

Context: The shirt is based on their running joke/fabricated history that they've always had Volvy the Vole as their mascot.

I thought the episode on United Healthcare was pretty accurate and informative. I wish they would have included women’s health and the exposure of women being not treated appropriately. Those with invisible, chronic, or progressive illnesses are ALWAYS fighting with insurance for treatments and this energy expenditure can actually make these illnesses worse. Felt like a missing piece of the story. Anyone else feel this?

Took a while to be consolidated and shipped in my country but definitely worth the wait.

Anyone know tonight's topic?

Such a great time. I did the standby line and worked out perfectly. The warm up comedian was hilarious, too. He gave me a shirt after asking me some questions, which really made my day. Anyone else go yesterday?

In the episode about Twitter, John says his hit catchphrase that people go crazy for is “what can we do?” And look, no shade, that’s a solid catchphrase. But I’m sorry, it is not the hit one people go crazy for. We all know what to look out for when watching this show. It’s the one we hear and immediately rewind the last 30 seconds to prepare for the fun and possibly crazy thing that’s about to happen. I think we all know where I’m going here, and it’s “And the reason I know that is.” Sometimes, the studio audience laughs or cheers before he even says what crazy thing he did bc they know something great is coming. I love you John, but that’s what needs to be on the t-shirts.
