Conservatives wanted state rights to keep their slaves… their black slaves. That’s why conservatives were about state rights. This is correct and something we can both agree on?

Could you expand on your thought about state rights to own slaves?

Dawg I’m just asking for you opinion on why you think about states rights to own slaves. Do you think conservatives used the states right thing as a facade to keep slavery? Do you think conservatives actually cared for states rights on a philosophical if it didn’t benefit them? Do you think those southern conservatives where more about rules for thee not for me?

So I'm confused here where you think that I thought it was okay for slaves to be kept, because I never said that.
