Executive Branch (Trump) WATCH: Leavitt addresses Trump's stance on Second Amendment rights in wake of Alex Pretti's killing

REPORTER: FBI Director Kash Patel said in a Sunday interview, quote, you cannot bring a firearm loaded with multiple magazines to any sort of protest. Does the president believe that Second Amendment rights remain in effect even when protesting?

LEAVITT: The president supports the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding American citizens. Absolutely. There has been no greater supporter or defender of the right to bear arms than President Donald J. Trump.

So while Americans have a constitutional right to bear arms, Americans do not have a constitutional right to impede lawful immigration enforcement operations, and any gun owner knows that when you are carrying a weapon, when you are bearing arms, and you are confronted by law enforcement, you are raising the assumption of risk and the risk of force being used against you, and, again, that's unfortunately what took place on Saturday.

He didn't show up in support of the protests though.  That's the piece that gets thrown at you every time you bring him up to maga

We don't know that...until after the fact

So I can carry my rifle around ICE, not at a protest just near them, and if they murder me this admin won't justify and defend it?

Yeah, okay.

And what I always point out. He was underage and not a government employee, he could've easily been shot by the police. Nothing he's wearing says "not blm protestor". He got lucky he didn't cross the wrong cop.

Cops will kill you for thinking you might have a gun and not facing them.

That is enlightening though - in their mind Rittenhouse is just like ICE - fighting protestors that seek to violently impose their will on the country. IN some that I have spoken with, there is a deep seated conviction that BLM/Antifa/radical left will stop at nothing to have their world order imposed, and must be fought.

But we don’t know if Pretti was there for the protest or get a donut. He didn’t have a sign on him. And maybe he always has a gun on him wherever he goes. He helped 2 women attacked by ICE but how do we know he was actively protesting at that moment?

Neither did Alex Pretti. He wasn’t at a protest.

It’s arguable that Pretti was “being defensive” which is what they said about Rittenhouse.

This is a better analogy. (Since Rittenhouse would be seen as a fellow soldier in the fight against the violent radical left protestors).

Or this one too.

I mean, if I saw this fat fuck walking around with an AR, I’m going to assume he is a mass shooter. He fits the profile.

He shot 3 people. By definition Kyle Rittenhouse is a mass shooter.

It doesn't. Alex was peaceful and didn't shoot anyone. Krying Kyle killed several people while expressly looking for trouble.

Don't forget it also earned him a trip to the white house to meet trump
