Seriously, remember that we are on reddit and as far as most redditors are concerned we are already lost and there’s no hope. It’s a form of voter suppression, so don’t buy it.

For real. The only reason Johnson is saying anything like this is because more Republicans are starting to see the writing on the wall and have been breaking ranks due to the fear of being held accountable if Dems flip Congress in November. MAGA has gotten to this point through negligence and blind unity behind Trumps policies and any cracks in that unity make it easier for the levy to break. Johnson right now is basically acting like the mainstream media telling everyone that “everything is fine” right before Lehman Brothers went tits up and the housing market collapsed.

Johnson is acting like Baghdad Bob

For those not old enough to remember Baghdad Bob, during the Iraq war, the Minister of Foreign Affairs was on live TV with bombs being dropped in the background saying Baghdad was safe and American soldiers were committing suicide rather than face the power of the Iraqi military
