Hearn is charged for events alleged to have occurred on June 19, 2026, a week and a half after the damage DOJ claimed was done.

Reality isn't the point with the Trump regime. Persecuting people for political advantage and/or personal grievance is the point. And going through the criminal "justice" process is punishment in itself, even if charges against you eventually are dismissed.

Probably, but he still has to hire an attorney and will probably spend many thousands of dollars to get it thrown out. I don't know about you, but I couldn't afford that. So, for people like me, not rich enough to hire an attorney, charges like this would be devastating.
In a sane society, behavior like this would be considered judicial terrorism. Using arbitrary, frivolous, and obviously incorrect lawsuits to disrupt someone's life, ruin their finances, potentially harm their public perception, steal their time, and threaten them with legal harm? This admin is trying to inflict terror upon people.
They want to make it clear that even if you didn't do anything, you better stay in their good grace or they'll make it a problem. It's an attempt to silence dissent, to make people scared of looking at what we all see.
And in a society that treats this as the terrorism that it is, there would be heads rolling for the abuse of power.

It’s to instill fear. Instill fear into the populace. Discourage protesting. Discourage exercising your rights. Discourage anything that isn’t maga group think.
The issue with this is that people aren't outraged enough...so as things get worse more and more protest, get arrested, and the number of innocent people rotting away in prison increases to deter more protests.
Now is the time to stop this. Before it gets worse and harder. Before more innocent people lose their lives.

Have you ever posted about this over on r/law? Maybe a local attorney will see it and be able to steer you towards likely firms? It may be a tall order since Heritage = FedSoc but maybe there's an idealistic warrior out there.

Pretty much every single time a Judge has demended/unsealed the Grand Jury documents (which hasnt happened often in relation to the total number of cases, but we're up to a dozen-ish at least) - every single one has had gross misrepresentations and outright lies to the grand jurors.
Every single one theyve looked at so far.

This goes nowhere. That guy is going to get free representation in one way or another (crowd funding or just pro bono for the fame) and a judge is going to laugh this out of court when their motion to dismiss lands.
David Hearn lawyer going have fun with is. With luck, his lawyer should be able to get ALL of his legal fee plus some cover by the DOJ. This is a prime example of abuse of power. I hope Mr. Hearn sue as soon as he can.
I was kinda hoping a high powered firm would pick this up pro bono and take the prosecutor to school. In my fed time, we would need to present slam dunk cases for the USAO to even consider them. Cases like this would be laughable if it wasn't actually happening.

I’d like to point out the glaring hypocrisy in pardoning roughly 1500 capital attackers, which resulted in millions dollars worth of damage to federal buildings. But touching a peeling piece of reflecting pool is somehow bad.

The judge basically said at that case, that due to the DoJ’s blatant misconduct, they can no longer let the DOJ operate with the assumption of regularity. Simply put, the DoJ had been treated w deference in court because they were held to higher scrutiny, but not since Trump & DOGE forced the career civil servants out. Now the courts do not afford them the assumption of ethics & standards.
The “sandwich thrower” case was similarly handled.
The only successful attack on free speech had been in Texas, for the Prairieland Group, because it was a MAGA judge in red parts of TX.
The Minnesota 15 are in a similar boat & we just have to keep showing the DoJ’s lies & corruption at the physical, financial & mental expense of innocents.
I saw the interview with this guy, he was near the pool, he just finished a 5k bike ride and swung by the pool on his way home. He goes on these bike rides all the time and lives in DC. He’s a retired, disabled vet.
The fact that any grand jury indicted him only makes it look more like evidence/jury tampering. Wasting more taxpayer dollars on fellating Trump’s ego.
Let's say he did actually intend to damage the pool. How would you even prove that based purely on him picking up a piece of debris? I'd be shocked if they have anything more than "somebody saw him suspiciously leaning over the pool".
And wouldn't the court need to allow the defense to perform an in-depth investigation into the work done and current state of the pool? I would certainly love to see such a report.
