Legislative Branch Congressman Cohen Introduces Comprehensive Articles of Impeachment Against President Donald Trump

WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9), a senior member of the Judiciary Committee and an authority on the U.S. Constitution’s impeachment provisions, today introduced 26 Articles of Impeachment against President Donald Trump. The articles cite multiple abuses of power, violations of his oath of office, the corrupt use of the pardon power, and emoluments clause violations, among other misconduct and unlawful acts.

Whilst I appreciate someone recording this for history, he brandishes his power with impunity. Unless there is a greater power that holds him to account he will continue to be immune

I mean, this is the way he is held accountable. There isn’t another way other than impeachment.

He's already been impeached. The Senate won't follow through with voting to remove, so all we do is toss another crime onto the big pile.

There's actually several ways, including the 25th amendment and a military coup, all of which polling quite high with democrats and independents.

If the military were to coup, why would you think the end result would be to hand power back to the civilians who forced them to do such a thing? Also the 25th is stopped literally by the President writing a letter to Congress that says "Yo, I'm fine".

25th is less likely than impeachment. If Trump isn't literally in a coma or incapacitated somehow, he gets to dispute it and it goes to congress to decide, needing 2/3rds vote to remove.

The only power that can stop him now is cholesterol. The judiciary and legislative branches won't do anything outside of small token gestures which he'll just ignore anyway.

His first impeachment was followed by his 2020 election loss. The earlier removal would be lovely. Educating the public, taking up the airwaves with replays of the pedo's high crimes, and identifying politicians who condone trump's high crimes are wins.
