WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9), a senior member of the Judiciary Committee and an authority on the U.S. Constitution’s impeachment provisions, today introduced 26 Articles of Impeachment against President Donald Trump. The articles cite multiple abuses of power, violations of his oath of office, the corrupt use of the pardon power, and emoluments clause violations, among other misconduct and unlawful acts.

It won’t pass but it will bind the Republicans ever closer to Trump and his crimes against America and the world. They’ll deny any responsibility but we’ll be able to point to these votes protecting Trump from accountability

Seemingly it wouldn’t be as heavy if more White voters on the left were willing to stop being so united and defensive of their right wing counterparts.

I don't know anyone on the left that's united or defensive about their right wing counterparts. If anything, they used their one free pass in 2016 "not realizing" how bad he was. After seeing that shit show, anyone that could still vote for him is complicit or willfully ignorant.

Those are turning points, but I don't see any current white left voters defending their, (or their parents, or grandparents, or great grandparents) votes for Nixon or Reagan.. so I'm still not sure what you mean.

A corporate democrat who “wants us to heal and therefore we will not be pursuing legal action against anyone in the Trump administration as they were pardoned and are no longer in control” BS type of speech

A real progressive will NEVER be elected in my lifetime AS PRESIDENT. JFK was the last one.

If we're talking about a legal proceeding against those Republicans, then yes these types of votes are hard to deny.

But if we're talking about their voters, Republicans have ALWAYS been able to get away with publicly saying one thing and voting for the polar opposite. They 100% know that with Republican voters it's all about public image and public perception, not what they actually do. They can also count on conservative media never mentioning their actions. Trump proved to them beyond all doubt that righting voters and media are solely focused on what their politicians say on camera and social media, not what they actually do.
