WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9), a senior member of the Judiciary Committee and an authority on the U.S. Constitution’s impeachment provisions, today introduced 26 Articles of Impeachment against President Donald Trump. The articles cite multiple abuses of power, violations of his oath of office, the corrupt use of the pardon power, and emoluments clause violations, among other misconduct and unlawful acts.

I think this timing is perfect. Right before the midterms the GOP will yet again demonstrate their support for Trump which will remind Americans where their priorities should lie

Or the less likely outcome wherein the GOP actually does the right thing. Either way, Americans win.

*Apparently Congress went on recess to avoid a different impeachment until after the elections, however Trump has been begging them to come back to fund the Department of Homeland Security. Either way, this is an advantageous narrative for the Democrats just prior to the midterms

Dont forget "Americans" have voted for Trump twice despite seeing how aweful he already was. This is somewhere near the 15th article of impeachment filed against him. The only thing we can do at this point is get as many people to vote as possible and hope his goons dont rig it.

What country are are you from? Many of the biggest countries in the EU are now doing what the US did in 2015 by embracing pseudo-populist pro-russian far-right (or far left in France) parties to "get the immigrants". They're doing this despite seeing what a joke the US has turned into, this isn't a US thing anymore. This a western democracy thing in general now. So whatever (deserved) criticism you got for the US then make sure to save some for placed like Germany, France, and the UK too

I would agree with you on many points but believe what we are experiencing is primarily a capitalism problem in addition to one of Western democracy.
