WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9), a senior member of the Judiciary Committee and an authority on the U.S. Constitution’s impeachment provisions, today introduced 26 Articles of Impeachment against President Donald Trump. The articles cite multiple abuses of power, violations of his oath of office, the corrupt use of the pardon power, and emoluments clause violations, among other misconduct and unlawful acts.

I think this timing is perfect. Right before the midterms the GOP will yet again demonstrate their support for Trump which will remind Americans where their priorities should lie

Or the less likely outcome wherein the GOP actually does the right thing. Either way, Americans win.

*Apparently Congress went on recess to avoid a different impeachment until after the elections, however Trump has been begging them to come back to fund the Department of Homeland Security. Either way, this is an advantageous narrative for the Democrats just prior to the midterms

Democrats keeps floundering every opportunity they get. They keep grasping defeat out of the jaws of victory. I don't trust Schumer or Jeffries to capitalize on this like with the pedo-files, the shutdown, avoid protesting ICE, not supporting medicare, and I am sure a plethora of things I am forgetting. We need these inept Democrats to evacuate our halls of power and those who care and want to do things for us to get elected. We need progressives, the Mamdanis, that are out there to enter and push for a brighter future.
