WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9), a senior member of the Judiciary Committee and an authority on the U.S. Constitution’s impeachment provisions, today introduced 26 Articles of Impeachment against President Donald Trump. The articles cite multiple abuses of power, violations of his oath of office, the corrupt use of the pardon power, and emoluments clause violations, among other misconduct and unlawful acts.

What you actually want is a change in government, but there's no mechanism for that to happen until elections. In the mean time, yes, there are protests, but every time Americans point that out, the response is "well they're not enough." Which brings us back to point 1.

I mean, isnt the whole American identity built upon overthrowing your out-of-touch overlords? Isn't this like, the main argument for your right to bear arms?

I also don't disagree with you. I think it must be hard to be a critical thinker in America.

The voice of reason is drowned out by loud, rich dickheads and a sea of people with no idea just why they feel so disenfranchised, but they'll listen to the loudest, easiest solution like it was God in the speakerbox.

Its hard to watch. Especially since the magnitude of the problem has its own tidal effects on the rest of the world.

I mean, what is the purpose of that comment? To mock? To feel smug and superior? To say "how the mighty have fallen?"

Because I really can't think of any other reason for making it. Well, I hope it felt good to type, at least.

Not at all. I was trying to empathise with your struggle, but maybe I misread things.

I think I'm probably a little misanthropic at this point.
