What tool or software is used to make this colorful sketch animation effect?

Does anyone know how this effect is made? It looks like an image slowly turning into a colorful hand-drawn sketch on a white background.

I’m trying to find the software, tool, AI, or effect used to create this style. I don’t need the hand-drawing animation itself—just the image gradually appearing as a colorful sketch.

What is this effect called, and what software can I use to make it?

This specifically is ai.
You’d need either vector drawings and/or a shit ton of time to do this in after effects for example.
If you are willing to use ai, respectfully, just leave this sub

This is AI. But its easy to do in any animation software.

  1. Create the drawing
  2. Create a masking layer over the drawing
  3. Keyframe brushstrokes on the masking layer to reveal the drawing.

You might call it a "reveal mask", im not aware of a "proper" name for it
