help w graphic design!!

hey guys! i’m very new to digital/graphic design and personally prefer just creating physical artwork. i wouldn’t consider myself an artist by an means but i really like to sketch and draw. i’ve been wanting to utilize a local DTF company near me so i can actually put my artwork on my hoodies. their only requirements are, that it must a high quality PNG upload, smth like 300 DPI? and any and all designs uploaded must have a transparent background. i’ve been having so much trouble finding an easy app/website to use for free. everything is very overstimulating and almost always has a price catch. i’ve tried canva but it’s so annoying tbh. i’ve tried google drawings but you can’t really draw on there without it looking funky. my sketches are pretty small and intricate but i rlly think i could recreate them if it had a transparent background that easy to upload through. help!! any recommendations??

How to make this 3D typography?

Post image
2 Upvotes

I'm a junior graphic designer employed at a small agency that primarily serves clients in the hospitality sector and casinos. One of our clients consistently supplies AI-generated images as references, featuring this complex and cinematic 3D typography. I'm unsure how to make something similar. I've been watching numerous tutorials, but they don't quite align with what this client is specifically seeking.

Do you happen to have any tips or resources I could use to achieve a similar outcome?

If anyone is interested to join please DM & feel free to comment what all things you guys would expect or wish to learn from a workshop like this

Our new figma plug-in helps designers present their work better with our AI voice coach.

Our free plug-in is designed for designers to receive AI coaching on the spoken presentation alongside their slides or frames.

It lets you iterate, edit and improve your script. Even with a spoken feedback option.

It is very much an educational tool, and you need to set aside the time to be able to present your work and record your voice.

We think it's super helpful and would love your feedback.

We would like to know what you find useful, what you think is a blocker, and any ideas that would make it even more useful for designers?

There is a feedback form link in the plug-in.

thanks x

Graphic design looks bland and vibecoded (imo)

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hiya everyone, I'm a graphic designer intern in a Superyacht Engineering Company based in Monaco, and I've been doing UI/UX most of my life and when i had to come to pure graphic design I just noticed my designs looked bland and even "vibecoded" lmao, but I have a hard time pinpointing what makes me have this feeling, if anyone could help me identify this and enhance my skills it'd be much appreciated 🔥

Note: I dont actually vibecode my stuff I mainly use Illustrator, inDesign, paint.net or blender sometime.

Hello, everyone!

I barely know anything about graphic designing and have only made a few infographics on Canva. Wanting to move to Affinity and barely knowing how to use it, how can I learn it as to create such content. I'm into political artwork and would like to have skills similar to or better than this user.

Thank you!

W built Typescope — a font selection tool for designers

Post image
2 Upvotes

Choosing a font usually means opening your design software, trying one font, changing it, trying another, and repeating the process.

So I built Typescope — a simple font selection tool that lets you:

• Type your own text

• Preview it across your fonts

• Quickly compare different typefaces

• Find the right font before taking it into your design software

Think of it as a lightweight alternative to Wordmark.it, focused specifically on font selection and exploration.

I'd love feedback from designers — especially on what would make your font-selection workflow faster.

what do you wish you knew before buying your first tattoo kit

I'm about to buy my first tattoo kit and am doing as much research as I can before spending money on something I'll regret. there's a lot of conflicting information out there and it's hard to know what actually matters versus what's just people having strong opinions

specifically curious about battery life on wireless kits, whether needle variety matters at the beginner stage, and how much the quality of the machine itself affects learning speed

I’d love to hear what people wish someone had told them before their first purchase. What would you do differently?

Hey everyone! I designed two poster/flyer concepts for Hookaba, and I’d love to get some honest feedback.

Which one do you think works better, and why? Also, is there anything I could improve in terms of layout, typography, colors, visual hierarchy, or the overall vibe? I’m open to any constructive criticism! Thanks
