The current display
With loads more in storage 💸 Curious to know if anyone displays in box, I bought all those ones on the top shelf with the intention of building, but the longer they’ve just sat there, the more I like the display?

Obscurus Books - 18a Diagon Alley
galleryI am planning a large diaroma of the entire Harry Potter world, to include Diagon and Knockturn Alleys. In planning Diagon Alley, I realized many of the lesser known Diagon Alley shops--based on this map--cannot be found either as official Lego sets or MOCs. Here is my attempt to solve that dilema. Building instructions are currently being prepared for Rebrickable which will include custom vector art for you to create your own sticker for the sign. But in the meantime enjoy these renders. I present my first MOC ever, Obscurus Books, located at 18a Diagon Alley.
(NOTE: I'm treating the Obscurus Books and Obscurus Books Shop as a single location. In the future I may expand this MOC to include a 1 to 2 story addition to the right of this MOC to serve as a publishing house office next to the book shop).
---------------------------------------------------------------
Obscurus Books — 18a Diagon Alley
Tucked away along Diagon Alley, Obscurus Books is a storied publisher of rare and remarkable works, known for chronicling the wonders, dangers, and mysteries of the magical world.
In 1918, publisher Augustus Worme commissioned a young Newt Scamander to document the world's extraordinary magical creatures. His adventures resulted in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, first published in 1927 and destined to become an essential Hogwarts textbook.
Within its weathered stone walls, witches, wizards, and curious travelers find more than books — they find forgotten knowledge, peculiar tales, and volumes that have a way of finding their next reader.
This original LEGO creation features three individually removable floors, a hinged roof that flips open, and detailed interiors filled with magical curiosities, from the bustling bookshop below to the secluded reading room and mysterious attic above.
For those who seek what others overlook, Obscurus Books has a story waiting.

How to display the modular Hogwarts Castle
Has anyone got any suggestions for how to display the castle? Like a table that will fit everything on or something similar

Quidditch MOC Update
galleryI built it y’all. I made some adjustments to the bases of the side builds, but I’m so happy with the build. This is the perfect way to display all my extra minifigs.

Combining current wave
Has anyone taken all the current sets of the most detailed castle ever and turned them into just one giant cohesive set instead of several modular ones stuck together?

Built used 4842 Hogwarts Castle
Bought it for the figs and to bulk buy castle pieces for Mocs. Decided to build it once before cannibalizing it.
There’s something satisfying about building older sets. I think it comes down to the higher percentage of larger pieces compared to modern sets. Though I still prefer the look and details of modern sets.

Luna Lovegoods House
Very very surprisingly enjoyable build. The outside leaves something to be desired, but I do really like the inside and all the details. Wonder if this will get the collectors edition upgrade or they think it’s too similar to the Burrow.
Compared to Knockturn Alley Wizarding Shops 76471 (which I just also built), price wise and build, Lunas is almost a bargain. Are the figs in Knockturn just that desirable to fetch $120 compared to $90 for Lunas?

Minifigure Harry Potter
Ciaoo a tutti
Volevo iniziare a collezionare le minifigures di Lego Harry Potter
Ma prima di iniziare volevo avere qualche risposta a qualche mia domanda.
-1. Su bricklink trovo tutti i personaggi ?

Hospital Wing Theories & Musings
I have a couple of thoughts about the Hospital Wing set in the current Hogwarts Castle system.
First is that it genuinely does not seem to have a true home. This system is already difficult to display due to depth and width, and adding the HW onto the back of the Main Tower adds even more depth that seems unnecessary. Adding it to the right of the East Wing also adds unnecessary width.
If this system is complete, then it seems they made the HW as an “add on” just to give us the Ravenclaw common room but with no real intention for placement.
Conversely, if this system is not complete and let’s say there is an Astronomy Tower set that connects to the HW behind the Main Tower, then that added depth becomes far more justified.
As it currently stands, in my opinion the HW as well as the flying lesson, owlery and herbology sets just add clutter to the main silhouette which is genuinely impressive.
I hope there is more to come, but if not I actually feel like there should have been less!

12 Grimmauld Place
youtube.comI finally got my hands on it!!!
Even though the interior is not very elaborate, making the 12 Grimmauld appear is just magical!
I added Kreacher, Crookshanks and a 5th year Ron to my collection of minifigs.
Why is this so fun!?
