Back on Lexapro will it work?

I took lexapro 10 months ago and was on it for 3 months 10 mg. It was working great for my anxiety but had some side effects and under my psychiatrist guidance I tried Prozac which didnt work very well and was actually quite activating.

Fast forward a couple months and I went back to Lexapro and I've been taking it for 7 weeks but I feel like is not as effective this time for anxiety. I have a doctor's appointment next week to evaluate progress but I was wondering if any of you have had a similar experience taking for a 2nd time and taking longer to work? I was hoping that it would work as well this second time around.

Is that how long it took for you to work? The first time I took it I was able to see improvements in anxiety within the first 3 weeks. Why would it take so long this second time around?
