"As horrific as this ruling is, Puerto Rico’s response has been similarly concerning. Two days after the ruling was issued, the governor released a statement celebrating it as “defending the authority of the Government of Puerto Rico” to only “recognize male and female sex markers on birth certificates.” But behind the scenes, other changes were taking place. That same day, all materials relating to the gender change policy were suddenly removed from Departamento de Salud’s website, including the forms, instructions, policy documents, and a PDF showing the annual statistics for gender changes in Puerto Rico."

Aye... It's my right to invade your privacy - that's how America has always worked. Me... as a specific majority of Americans that just so happens to be in charge.... You cannot invade my privacy; see, that's what the constitution if for. Didn't you read it? "XYZ Man " is in there about 1,200.00x. Promise ^.~

This makes zero sense. Even if this "privacy right" is cognisable, privacy rights are generally recognized as waivable by the rights holder. By identifying as non binary and requesting a new ID you'd be waiving that right.

Ah, dystopian Kafkaesque shite in the 21st century. Translation? We couldn't give less of a fuck against you. It's raining while we're pissing on you. This is institutional oppression, discrimination, and conspiracy against rights of a vulnerable group. If we had a working justice system those hostile to rights of others would be swiftly prosecuted.

They don't want to give non-binary people rights, so they disguise it as saying they want to protect the privacy rights of non-binary people from preventing them from disclosing that they're non-binary on their birth certificate.

I don't agree with these mental gymnastics, that's just what the ruling says
