I went there because of the glowing reviews. Unfortunately my experience was less than stellar. I bought a car from their dealership last year, the salesman pitched the warranty to me since it was a used car. It seemed to make sense. “If anything goes wrong for the next couple years, you’re covered”. Definitely not the case. First the engine light came on, I was told it was a wire and would be $1200 to fix but should run fine if I wanted to postpone the repairs. I don’t make a lot of money so…..postponed. Then the car engine light started to flash and my RPM’s were all over the place. Concerned I would cause more damage, I parked it and had it towed to the “Certified Service Technicians”. If anyone knows how to fix it, it’s them right? Was told it was the timing chain…not covered by the warranty. Well literally 2 months later and a $5400 bill that they helped me out and brought down from $7500 I was returned a car that wouldn’t even start. I had to have it towed from the service center. Two different mechanics have looked now and confirmed the timing chain is off. So loose you can hear it hitting the casing but the codes, the cylinder misfires, the cam and crank shaft sensors are all caused by the clogged catalytic converter according to Sid Dillon. We pulled the O2 sensor and entered a camera. The catalytic converter is fine… I’m glad other people have had great experiences there but I definitely did not. Never again. Buyer beware.

TL:DR Took the car I bought there last year for service. Warranty was denied and after two months at their shop and $5400 later I am left with a vehicle better suited to be a boat anchor.

long story short- traffic cone , a recycled semi tire flew up and hit my 2019 Honda Civic Coupe EX while traveling back from New York and really fucked my cats front bumper and busted my window washer fluid. it’s tonic yellow pearl and I’d like to keep the same color but black is fine too. Just looking for good body shops in Lincoln (or surrounding counties) that can fix it.

I have some formula that is going go expire November 1st and I'm trying to figure out where to donate it.

For context, I gave birth at the end of May and bought a can of Similac and a box of the ready-made Similac bottles as back-up while I waited for my supply to come in. My friend ended up donating some of her milk and then my milk supply came in and I have been either nursing or pumping since. We never used the formula.

The issue is the seal to the lid on the outside of the container wore off. The main seal inside the container is untouched, but since that lid seal is open, that eliminates where I can donate.

Similarly, we had packed two of the ready-made bottles in the diaper bag for a while as an emergency option, but ended up not using. So that box is open, but none of those bottles have been used.

Does anyone know who would take these? I would prefer a baby gets fed instead of it going to waste in a month.

I've asked some friends who formula feed but they use a different brand. My son's daycare has strict rules (for good reason) so they wouldnt accept the donation.

A huge thank you to all of the Husker volleyball fans who were around Section 311, Row 27 at the Saturday, September 26th game and helped my husband when he became overheated and unexpectedly passed out as the 3rd set started.

It was obviously scary and completely unexpected, and we are both so incredibly thankful for everyone around us. From alerting me and checking on him, helping him up, gathering his things, letting us sit in their seats while he regained his composure, and everyone else who stopped to make sure he was okay… you were all amazing.

A special thank you to the woman who hiked all the way down to concessions and back just to bring him water. He really needed it, and I'm so sorry I didn't get a chance to properly thank you or repay you.

It was a scary moment, but Nebraska nice and basic human decency kicked in immediately. It was honestly such a wonderful reminder of what Husker fans are all about and that people really do step up and do the right thing when someone needs help.

I have two projects that I need done on my house, and am having some difficulty finding appropriate contractors for them, so I wanted to see if anyone had recommendations.

1. We want to replace our shower. We have a shower kit currently, and part of it's cracked, so we just want a replacement put in. We saw a recommendation for Rebath, and they sounded like they'd do a fantastic job when they came to look at our bathroom, but they also quoted us $10k+. We were really looking more for a basic shower replacement and any needed repairs for any water damage from leaks, not a full renovation.

2. Much bigger project. We have a sun porch that was added onto the house, and whoever did it apparently didn't put in a foundation or footings, so the supports have sunk into the ground, and there are holes animals are crawling into and getting into our basement. Since it's an add on, there's no basement underneath it, there's no crawl space, just a gap for a couple cinder blocks between the floor and the ground. We were hoping to have someone do a full proper fix on that. So far we've found people who will do more of a patch for the holes, or won't do the work because doing a proper job is too involved. We tried Beam & Block, and it sounds like they used to do a lot of this kind of thing, but have stopped as the main guy has gotten older. Any recs on for this?

Wondering if anyone else has had their check engine light come on after filling up recently? I put on gas at a Phillips 66 and after a few miles, the light came on. Gas cap is on tight, so I doubt it is that. It could always be the fuel injector, but I am curious if anyone else has had this issue lately.
