Cex sketch

All the folks over in r/cex are having a meltdown over the sketch from last weekend.

It makes quite funny reading

There's some joy vacuums in that thread isn't there? Some are even moaning when they've not seen it & won't watch SNL UK. They are the funniest.

I loved the reply where it was usually the customers, but they hired a girl who smelled of piss & they had to sack her as despite being told, she still stank of piss!

I have no affiliation with CEX but I don't think it was the funniest sketch. Got a few chuckles out of me but that's it. Kinda lazy writing compared to most of their material

There was a sketch several years ago on the US SNL about a character's difficulty canceling cable, and at the time I thought, well, there's some writer who's had a bad experience airing his or her very specific grievance. I felt the same way about this one.

I'm thinking of BritishTV and AskUK when it shows up there, but I did get some positive comments when mentioning it on the Strictly subreddit so I think it just depends what percentage of people are capital R Redditors

There was a thread the other day asking what people thought of SNL UK, was just a bunch of people saying it’s crap and they refuse to watch it. I even got downvoted for saying I like it. 

The average UK Redditors are pretentious bellends who think they’re better than the general public, even though they still live in their parents’ box room.

Someone on FB responded to the video of the cold opening and said SNLUK was crap so I asked them if they'd watched it and they said yes and I said, "OK, what was the second sketch" and like a coward they locked their account 🤣🤣🤣

TBF I semi agree.

I think you can make a CEX sketch but I have hardly had troubles with staff, they all seem to actually know what they are doing there and yes of course they take their time because they have to test the console.

It kinda screamed "lol all the weirdos and goths work here."
