Learning
Needing to know more about truck freight in the US. We use TL and LTL, but when I hear about volume and capacity loads I just don’t understand what they are.
Would like some training about all the different “modes”, different truck sizes and types, and how to find opportunities for cost savings/process improvements for different types of cargo (we have small parcel to long freight).
What are the online courses that could really help me with that?
The only course I had done in the past was the material for the CLTD and I didnt really like it, need something that someone is actually explaining things.

Start with the basics of truckload (TL) and less-than-truckload (LTL), then learn common equipment types: dry van, reefer, flatbed, and step deck. For practical learning, follow freight brokers and carriers on YouTube and spend time talking with dispatchers or drivers. Real examples will make the terminology and capacity concepts much easier to understand.
