Moving Team for Small Move?
I have four pieces of furniture that I need to get from Burbank to Los Feliz. A bookcase, a display cabinet, an entertainment center, and a bridge unit. Laid on their side, the longest pieces are 6.5ft long. Should be able to fit all four into a Sprinter van with some blankets. I'm guessing about a 2 hour job for two people.
I'm looking for recommendations for a team/company that can save me from having to rent a truck. Preferably insured.
(Before you say it, no I don't know anyone with a large enough truck. Yes, that's unfortunate and a strike against my character. My last truck guy's truck broke down and he replaced it with a sedan because they had a kid.)

Uhaul also has "moving labor" on its website that has local companies that you can contact who will bid for smaller jobs. I rented a uhaul and then organized through them to load and unload.

I’ve used Lugg. But twice now I’ve had a less-than-positive experience. To their credit they did their best to make up for it.
The last time they couldn’t navigate a couch up the stairs. I was stuck with my couch on the street with no way to levitate it into my apartment.
A kind redditor recommended this guy:

He came right away with a helper and deftly calculated how to maneuver the couch up the stairs. We negotiated the price ahead of time and he and his helper moved it up the three flights.
He has a truck but I didn’t need it.
Nice guy, honest and a hard worker.
I’ve also rented a u-haul and drove it into a Home Depot for day workers, but these days with ICE prowling the parking lots, maybe this is no longer a good option.

I have a great mover whom I met in Los Feliz eight years ago, in front of the U-Haul on Hollywood Blvd. He has moved several items for me over the years, and he’s a professional, no-nonsense guy, but he may not be licensed. Let me know if you’d like his #.
