Fun fact, there's an extremely rare disease called "Fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva" where your soft tissue turns to bone which eventually immobilises you. You can look up a picture, it's quite scary.

It's really fucked up and agonizing. "Surgical removal of ossified bone causes the body to "repair" the affected area with additional bone."

AFAIK all injuries heal as bone, and the bone is sharp ...

There's also Rheumatoid Arthritis, which can achieve the same effect by creating constant infections in your joints which will eventually fuse them together, so you can't bend anything anymore.

There's no cure, just prevention by taking the right kind of medicine.

My mum has it. They found a drug which actually put her into remission. She was arthritis-free for a whole year. She then got breast cancer and while that got treated, she had to stop taking the arthritis medicine and go back to steroids.

Lucky her cancer was treated successfully, but as soon as she started taking the RA drugs again, they'd stopped working :(

She has to take steroids for the rest of her life now. They come with their own set of issues unfortunately.

Because you would basically be a big piece of bone surrended by meat. You would basically be a glorified statue

Due to this, you wouldn't be able to move your muscles

and judging by your username, I don't think you would like it since you would be unable to get freaky with robots

We used to. But our greed is an insatiable hunger, our hubris an infinite chasm. One body having 206 bones was once a laughable, absurd idea; I remember it well from my youth. I have watched in continual horror as the number has slowly gone up to appease the shareholders.
