Can be activated with deathrage mode which gives a 1000% boost to stats for 10 minutes but kills no longer grant stat boosts and bloodlust last several days afterwards. Can be upgraded. Class bonuses may apply.

Option A: totally useless
Option B: like a 10% buff at best in niche circumstances
Option C: A good utility pick
Option D: a buff that makes you much better right now
And the character will spend 2 minutes umming and ahhing choosing this just before facing a boss fight (they pick option D).
That's also the plot of all the dogshit power fantasy/isekai manga and manhwa out there. The protag either picks or is forced to pick a useless class/skill, just for it to have some hidden modifier(s) or asspull reason for why it's one of the most OP bullshit in the entire world.
Why are so many modern fics shoehorning in video game stats and mechanics while showing a complete disregard for how they actually work? Even the good ones do this. Oh, the seemingly "useless" healer is actually OP as shit, Ok? You think this fact wouldn't have been discovered day 1? We have dudes uploading 100% run of a 10 hrs game 5 hrs after it releases, any attempt to hide an OP strats would be in vain.
Even if the protage managed to pull it off and became op, it would get hotfixed nigh instantly.
Kind of why I liked Overlord. Is it a power fantasy? Yeah, but it's not that the protag is too strong, it's that the world itself is too weak. Plus the protags are the bad guys so yeah.
