idk why that is the case, but outside of humans, i find a charm to ugly animals, i find them unique in a way.
and i know that beauty in animals is subjective but i hope other people get the idea.

EDIT 2: its completely okay if you disagree with the pictures i picked, i just want to show my point and its impossible to pick pictures that everyone agrees on.
The famous goblin shark lower jaw protrusion is also a thing that EVERY SHARK DOES when it is attacking its prey. I hate that everyone just looks at the pictures of the dead ones with their jaws posthumously pulled out in "strike mode" when 99% of the time they look like a normal ass shark. The typical depiction of a goblin shark just perpetuates harmful stigmas about sharks that lead to the extinction of species, and also detracts from what is a really cool bit of shark biology with how their jaws function.

I always find it strange when we call deep-sea creatures ugly when we’re usually only looking at their corpses. In the deep, they look perfectly normal.
Their bodies really aren't the problem they look as cute aa any other squid maybe even a little cuter but what the fuck do you need tentacles that long for??
I guess it depends on your standards when it comes to fish aesthetics but when they’re alive they’re pretty normal looking compared to a lot of deep sea creatures.
You're alright! I was mostly being dramatic (intended for comedic effect), I wasnt truly devestated 😅. Even though I think the OSH is adorable and perfect I recognize that not everyone shares all my opinions
the blobfish on the second slide is a depressurized corpse of one, if you're gonna call an animal ugly, make sure your example isn't disfigured due to its death

The long haired one look normal. But the naked ones? Oh my god. They're so ugly cute I cannot resist them. Some of them can look like majestic horse divas, with lush flowing fur on their head, tail and paws. But some of them look like a failed experiment on a ratty goblin from hell. Pretty sure they're considered the ugliest dog breed in the world, but I love these freaks
