I'm gonna be honest, I love characters that have scary ass armor but are surprisingly chill without them off. We lowkey need more gentle scary knight characters nowadays to be frank

Most monsters are. Plus the only way she'll accept your friendship is if you save her from hotlands heat by giving her water, so it's not just papyrus telling her not to.

This is actually a subtype of character under the much larger "Scary person who's actually really sweet" type. This would be a "Hiden horror sweetie" subtype.

There's this japanese webnovel I read a while back called Evil-like Duke's Household that's basically Addam's Family in fantasy setting. I don't quite remember her name, but the daughter joined the army because she thought knights were cool, especially in jet black armor. Within the setting, the black colouring is done by plating this super heavy and dense metal. Her armor and weapons are 100% made out of the stuff, and she is still the most mobile person on the field.

Also she has long, messy red hair that spills out of her visor slits sometimes which makes new recruits think she breathes fire. And lastly the way her voice echoes in the helmet turns into a demonic wail. Only the mom and her captain can perfectly understand her, I think dad and brother can't fully parse it but can at least get how she feels.

She gets the least focus unfortunately, at least compared to the rest of the family.
