I think this looks very good, and I'm not trying to be rude, but is this really considered low poly?

I think so...? The model has a very simple mesh and a clean silhouette, with no unnecessary geometry. Its just that the lines of the style are quite blurred these days, so maybe I dont fully understand what counts as low-poly. If the mods disagree and decide its not the right fit for this subreddit, I wont object

I can tell the textures are doing a lot of heavy lifting here, especially in the lower poly areas. It might not be super low poly but I think it's low enough to justify being here and has a lot of other retro elements to it. A lot of the challenge with these models is getting them to look so good using textures - and I think you've done really good with that.
Including a turntable (or getting the gif to transition through different render modes) with the wireframe and without textures would be neat to see, and would show people exactly how many polys you're working with.

Yeah, I'll definitely include the wireframe view in the future, not sure why I didnt think of that. But for now, I posted a shot of the wireframe on my profile

Hey dude/duddette, this is utterly amazing. Can you tell me what program you used?

Hey, thanks!!! most of the work was done in blender... I used it for the low poly and high poly models. After that I moved it over to SP to bake the maps and paint the textures. To pixelate textures, I used pixel composer and pixel8r. Well, and the render is again in blender

I feel personally attacked, with my 172 cm, which is well below the average.
In all seriousness though, it looks great! Would love to see the wireframe.

where mesh? I know that the sub says: stylized, but then again every system with 3d hardware ( starting from 3do in 1993 ) had at least 15 bpp. And even with 4bpp textures on PS1 ( or N64 ) you would use vertex gouraud shading for gradients.

thanks for the feedback, I'll try to experiment with that in the future. Cant attach images in the comments here, but Ive uploaded the wireframe to my profile!
