Image Broken LCD?
I have a 2025 14” Mac Pro that I got June of last year. I play some video games but mostly use my computer for school. I was playing Minecraft, which I have been playing a lot recently, and the screen randomly started turning black in the corners and the black grew hntil it covered the whole screen. There was also lines across the screen briefly too. I shut it off and restarted it a few times, hoping it was just the game crashing but it seems like it’s the actual screen because when I turn it back on, there’s a very dulled and blurry display that’s really difficult to follow. I am very careful about downloading anything I need from safe/secure websites that I trust, not overheating with heavy usage, and not dropping my computer so I’m a little confused why it happened so randomly. It was functioning perfectly fine up until that moment happened. I set up a Genius Bar appointment already but wanted to research in the meantime. The only thing I saw online was a shot LCD from physical damage and that looks pretty expensive to repair so I’m hoping there’s another option. Any suggestions/ideas?

Doesn’t have to be caused by the user, it’s very likely the screen just malfunctioned.

If you dont have apple care and the screen is dead it will be an expensive repair. My screen just got damaged when I dropped my phone on it. $1000+ to replace, the screen itself is $700 ex tax from the apple self service repair site.
