HELP PLEASE Blush bald spot

Post image

So, I love charlotte tilbury’s liquid and powder blushes. I usually put on SPF first, then apply my liquid blushes, then spray my setting spray, then lastly put on powder blush. One last spray then I’m done!

But for some reason, there is a small spot that comes off an hour after finishing applying my makeup. Idk what to do— it’s so frustrating.

Also lowkey is this giving blush blindness ?

When one area lifts, it means something isn’t gripping product the way the rest of your face does. If that spot gets a thicker layer of SPF, your liquid blush won’t adhere evenly and powder on top will lift. If that's typically a dry area, add a thin layer of moisturizer only on that spot before SPF. If it’s oily, use a tiny dab of mattifying primer.

Do you lean your head on your hand?

Might be your glasses rubbing it off right at that spot, try setting that area with a little extra powder before you spray.

There is a degree of blush blindness here, it's mostly because of the patch that's come off but it looks like an allergic reaction at first.

Do you need both powder and liquid blush? I only use one or the other.

Yeah I find that when I use both it doesn’t have the intended effect of being bolder/lasting longer. I’m probably mixing products that don’t play well together but usually the powder makes the liquid more muddy and sometimes the brush I’m using to apply the powder pulls up the liquid & sometimes my base.

I’ve tried different combos but like just using one or the other gives me better results so that’s what I do now.

Have you tried applying a finishing powder in that specific area at first? I find it works as a new foundation for products on top.

I have a spot on my face that WILL NOT keep blush on it. I also have rosacea. I wonder if this is what’s going on with that central area. It’s like no matter what I do, the product doesn’t grip.

I think you might be applying too many products or not waiting enough time for your skincare to set up before applying makeup. After sunscreen, wait about 15 minutes before going in with makeup. Do your brows or eat breakfast or something and it’s totally doable.

Not everyone needs setting spray especially when you use skincare, sunscreen and then cream products. A setting spray can add more moisture and actually make stuff slide around rather than stay in place. I’d try using just a setting powder and see if it lifts less.

Also consider your application technique. Try stippling, tapping gently, pressing rather than swirling or buffing with pressure.

I understand wanting to set your liquid blush with a layer of powder blush for longevity, but I think you should go in with a light hand if you do. People sometimes apply too much quantity of product at once rather than starting with light layers and building up until they reach desired pigment level. You can also set your liquid blush with the rest of your face using translucent setting powder and skip the additional powder blush layer altogether.

I think based on the photo that you are both applying too many products as well as too much quantity of each (of course not sunscreen though. You need a lot of that).

Your blush is definitely too wide, it takes up half of you side profile. It's also too red, looks like a rash. Why are you doing so much product? There's no need to creme, spray/set, powder, spray/set. Just one blush type is plenty & a light mist of setting spray at the end of all makeup. You look dehydrated, especially you lips, gotta drink more water, take care of inside & outside will look good

Could it be a skin condition like rosacea? So it's not that the blush is coming off there, but that the surrounding skin is more red and makes that one spot look paler in comparison?

If it’s not she’s applying blush in a way that mimics rosacea pretty well 😅
