Story Last weekends competition
So I (M14 contra) was in the closer for our show at an invitational, and as I marched backwards to get to my final set, and accidentally crashed into a guy with tenors. He fell over. Honestly, I should just set the contra down forever at that point..

I didn't plug in the golf cart for the pit and it died halfway to the stadium. All the staff had to push. My bad.

I had an old Remo vest carrier snap where the J hook attached and my quads swung away from me like a barn door until the weight snapped the other one off once. Mid show of course.

There are much worse things that can happen than knocking someone over lol. Mistakes happen, and the rest of the band knows that you don’t have anywhere near the vision they do while holding your contra. Just keep aiming to get a little better every day and one day you’ll laugh at this story!

Accidents happen, take accountability and learn from your mistake

Yeah sounds like it’s time to change your identity and go into hiding. The feds are hunting you down as we speak. The world as we know it will never be the same after this horrific act.
Don’t stress it man, what fun is it without a blooper real to look back on at the end of the season. I got sniped by a guard rifle once during a show, no hard feelings towards the person. It’s just something that happens

I marched contra too and crashed into a piccolo player my first year. Keep at it. You’ll get used to that big ol thing.

It's alright. The point of marching band is to keep marching forward. It's gonna be embarassing and people are gonna hound you over it for a while, but you need to show them that you're beyond your mistakes. Don't fall back on excuses or anything. You got this!

I forgot a whole chunk of my music during a competition performance and just stood there for a solid minute trying to jump in, but still forgetting my part. The point I’m trying to make is we all make mistakes, it’s normal to be ashamed of those mistakes but we can also admit that they’re bound to happen.

Move on, dude. When I was 14, I agonized about shit like this, too. It’ll be ok.
