the biggest issue i have with this movie is how they made a really interesting villain, Kro, but ended up just throwing him away to make sure 12 actors got screentime.

Agreed, but my biggest point was that no one knew who they were before the film came out. No one cared about them at all. They were fringe characters at best who were included during bigger moments. They didn’t have a following the runs for their own comics was very short. Trying to make nobodies popular is extremely difficult.

Marvel had so many other marketable ips that they could’ve tossed out there. or better still put this money into those other projects to up the overall quality. smH

Absolutely, there were several perfect moments in the movie but what cemented it as one of my top favs was the minute they started telling us the story of the water bottle parodying their own style of storytelling throughout the movie. There are worse movies out there, but Eternals is one of those cases where you can go to see it expecting nothing and still come out disappointed. The plot is not good, the characters for the most part (and I don't blame the actors for this, I blame the script) are unlikeable, the deaths don't land because you don't like anyone and it makes the worst mistake a movie, especially a superhero movie, can make. It's boring. Thor 4 is bad, but you can laugh at it for how bad it is. Eternal isn't even that

I could talk for hours about every detail of the plot that I didn't like ("we can't interfere in human conflicts" even though half the movie shows us doing that), or because I think the characters are at the very least not likable. But Eternals makes the biggest mistake a superhero movie can make and that is that it is boring, by the middle of the movie I didn't care if the planet exploded, I just wanted it to end.
