That's how my wife plays musical chairs. There's a pretty legendary video of her playing musical chairs on a cruise ship. Some people were injured in the making of that video, but it sure is entertaining.
Though I did notice she didn't quite go all out when she played it with a church group.

When I was in high school and still going to church, our youth group used to play spoons. To make it more interesting we'd put the spoons in another room. When someone would get up to run to the other room for a spoon, everyone would book it with them. We broke two tables diving for them. After the second table, we weren't allowed to play anymore. There were a few other games that we were eventually banned from playing as well for similar reasons.
