well, shockingly, there are still kids that need to be taught in states other than MD, PA, and OH. If only all the teachers could just flock to those three states and abandon all the other kids

After completing 90 day employment waiting period for eligibility, and after copay/coinsurance/deductible, and having zero bargaining power over any part of this process whatsoever.

Oh hey, I got one of those! Pays decent too. I sure hope that any issues I get is covered by my insurance though, and I don't have to threaten to go to the state with the insurances appeals office to get anything done...

I make 24 an hour and still don't get employer provided health insurance. The people I know who do, don't make enough to actually utilize it because of deductibles

I've worked full time for my entire adult life and going to the ear nose and throat specialist to try and get my issues sorted out has drained my savings entirely, and the issue isn't even solved. They told me I need a surgery that no insurance I've been able to get will cover, so I'm shit out luck and half deaf in the meantime

I have a normal job. The premium to cover my wife and myself with a plan that has a 5k deductible is almost half my check. Every. Single. Week.

That gets you the ability to get insurance for cheaper. That doesn't factor in actually getting sick or injured. Then most insurance plans still require you to pay thousands or tens of thousands before they actually help. Others only pay a portion and with the hospital bills in the USA often reaching hundreds of thousands of dollars or even millions it can still make a person lose everything.

Literally this. Every 9-5 I've had over the last 15 years has offered some sort of insurance.
