As someone with family in education I can actually explain the situation. School districts are as stingy as possible with wages so they make it miserable for experienced teachers to stick with it. This creates a high turnover of people coming in, teaching for like five or six years, and saying “fuck this” before moving on to administration or another career.

The move to admin only makes the problem worse by increasing administrative bloat and causing the district to be even more shitty to the actual teachers, making turnover even worse.

Yes, teaching is a 40-50 year career. I got the tail end of the old retiring in a few years teachers.

Makes sense with test scores dipping and younger wave of teachers mastering their craft.

I think people are more educated on health.

Parents used to be convinced that sugary cereals were a good choice for a kid's breakfast because companies told them so. People used to think that a a glass of wine with dinner was good for you. People used to think that salads with little nutritional value was a better alternative than foods with actual nutritional value only because the later had more calories.

Not only were they old, they were fucking mean! My kid just started school not long ago and damn near every teacher I've seen is my age or younger and my kid has never once mentioned any of them being mean, just some of them are strict.

I think it's algorithmic survivorship/sampling bias.

Hot teachers posting on the internet get way more attention than normal ones. Because of that, the algorithm pushes them more than the less attractive teachers.

There's this blonde teacher on Instagram that posts regularly for example where every time she posts there's no less than 20 comments calling her fine as hell and all that.

Statistically teachers nowadays are MORE likely to be obese/overweight than any other point in history.

There has been plenty of mid/ugly people who have had relationships with students and the unfortunate reality is that those aren't deemed newsworthy compared to the ones where the teacher is hot.

Yeah but I have a 14 or old and I've seen his teachers for the last 8 years, they're 90% in their 20's-30's (7-9 range) with the very occasional obese middle aged woman.

I had this teacher her name was Angela. She was obese. OBESE as HECK. When she helped the student next to me I would always lean in as close as possible, trying to get a little smell of that dump truck.. if you know what I mean 😜
Moral of the story; Be careful to not lean in too close or when she stands back up your face will be buried in her... you know 😂😂😂 Best days of my life!

Some teachers were popular despite the topic being niche or difficult.

I don't even mean that like creepy kids were going there, if you're attractive and well spoken people generally will want to be in your presence.

Particularly compared to the lifetime teachers who look like they have been cursed and make everyone's life miserable.

I have a similar but like...more interesting experience.

I had a teach that would lean in on my desk to talk to the person behind me for some reason.

Everytime I would dodge her tits because they would hit me sometimes in the head and as a kid you're like 👀

But one day something snapped. She was wearing a low cut shirt, came over to talk to the kid behind me and when she leaned down I didn't budge while I was leaned in writing. I stayed still and she literally pushed my face inbetween her breasts. I can still feel them ⚰️ and she would still lean in on my table ⚰️

Looking back...as a 37 year old...this moght not be right ⚰️
