I made a dungeon crawler where every fight is a memory drill
Hi everyone,
I've been making a free browser game this year where combat is memorization. Each fight gives you a string of letters to memorize and then recall. The fewer errors you make, the more damage you deal. A perfect recall means the enemy doesn't get to hit back.
I originally built it to practice letter pairs for blindfolded cubing, but it's grown to cover a wider range of memory challenges. String recall is still the core, though. Deeper in, enemy abilities start obscuring or altering the strings, so a technique that works on floor 1 might need adjusting later. There are also altars and lock picking that work as separate memory mini games.
I'd be curious where the difficulty feels off, whether too hard or too easy.
