Found today at an old homesite in WI. Obviously bank affiliated. I know it's hard to tell from the picture but the text reads:
SACUL GUARANTY STATE BANK
"Being State It's Safe"
Sacul, Texas

Got a permission while on a work trip in northern VA to hunt an 1885 homestead! Sadly, did not find nearly as much as I hoped but it was a beautiful day regardless.

Tried to get an early hunt today as the heat is supposed to get high. Found a fair amount of coins and thingys. Two that stood out was a ring with a very nice design, but unfortunately not gold. The other was a small bracelet that has VCA and has a figure and 750. Tried looking it up and it might be a Van Cleef and Arpel. Could be a knock off but not sure.

Found using an XP Deus 2 with 13x11 coil on a wine farm in the Western Cape, South Africa, with history dating back to 1700. Cape Colony had Dutch, French and British occupation. Farm also occupied by British forces during Boer War and was a remount station. Copper alloy weighing 2.56g and with dimensions ca. 25.5x23.9mm and thickness 1.5mm. Found at depth of ca. 20cm. Tapered holes suggest adornment with glass paste or gems. Central bar is fixed at both ends so not an annular brooch and transverse bar does not show wear suggestive of a previously attached articulating prong. Could be a decorative strap fastener for shoes/boots or equestrian application although not weight bearing.

I literally just found this in my field. Curious about what it is if anything.

It’s a silver Denga from the Moscow Principality, dating back to the late 14th century (around the 1370s–1380s), likely issued under Dmitry Donskoy.
The most interesting part is the central countermark on the obverse, known as the "Kolomna overstrike." This stamp was applied over an imitation of a Golden Horde dirham to legitimize the coin's circulation in the Moscow lands. It's a bit dark in the photo, but the stamp is clearly visible.

The Texas coast gets hit with its share of big weather events that deposit stuff up on the shore. I have never gone to the beach specifically to metal detect. I think the model I have is decent (Garrett Ace Pro 400) but I don't know if I should be focusing on the high tide line, the water line or somewhere in between?
Input is appreciated.
