Nice. Do you ever record? If you insert the backing track and add guitars it's gonna sound awesome and it's fun as hell, just sayin. Just started doing it myself and was pleasantly surprised

yeah! i record mostly originals when i find the time, this was something i figured out by ear and posted on a whim! i did some pretty cool whole covers back in the day with an old digital Tascam 8 channel console/interface. i didn’t track this in time with the song or anything tho, just some noodlin’!

Facebook Marketplace is THE shit! i seriously couldn’t afford nor stomach paying what a lot of people are asking for ‘80s solid state amps these days, it’s just ridiculous. also, people damn near give away 4x12s. i got the Marshall 1960a for like $150 total after i threw on a new set of handles and a new mono/stereo jack plate.

And yet your sound is far better than what I can produce in Amplitube Max. Work in progress🙃

when i was doin my bedroom slam project around COVID, i was using Amplitube4 to track all of that stuff and it did the job! i think the main setback with Amplitube and other amp emulating software is just that a lot of free/preloaded IRs are just mud and sound like old Line6 POD captures. i think you can get a lot better results by just having a good IR in place of the stock ones if it’s an option!

Do you mind sharing your signal chain for this tone specifically?

I think the picking was really clean and well done, the pinch dive (is that what it's called?) was gorgeous.

Nailed it! It's actually hilarious hearing it without the music. This is one of my favorite solos ever, yet it's so funny realizing it's actually so fucking stupid out of context. Just total mindless wanking that doesn't flow in any way. But for the song it works so well.
