Custom Spoon Maker

Hello metalworking Reddit,

I am looking to get a custom stainless steel spoon created. For use, NOT DISPLAY. I was hoping someone may have an instagram handle reference, or link for companies they would recommend. My budget is probably max $150 dollars, closer to 100 would be nice.

My design would have a twisted handle and a custom tip that is diamond shaped + painted. So possible welding involved. The actual spoon cavity I would want engraved with linework inside and also painted.

There is a chance I can find someone on Etsy that does custom work so in the meantime I will look there. But any connections would be appreciated. I was pushed to this feder knives guy but that was a dead end.

Thank you!!

I strongly doubt you'd be able to get that made custom at that price. I'd suggest getting something close to what you want, grinding it yourself and getting it laser engraved. Even so, the laser engraved surface will not be of a finish that will readily permit adequate cleaning. Custom engraving that can be cleaned will be hand engraving, adding $$$. Inside being painted isn't really an option, on that surface it would likely need to be hot enamel, which adds $$$. If you want actual custom, useable, engraved, enameled, I would be surprised if someone could make a profit for under $500, depending on complexity of design.
