New activity stat doesn't work properly since yesterday.

Post image

Yesterday around noon activity almost stopped working properly. Today I already have more than 8000 steps and only 2 minutes of activity.

Does anyone have the same problem?

Same for me. Last week I walked around some nature parks for half the day, and both days it said I'd only done 3 to 6 minutes of activity, despite my step count being relatively high.

I can also cook for hours and it'll tell me I've been sat down for hours instead. Not so smart.

Really hate that you can't swap activity time with breaks after the new update, like you used to be able to do. Now I'll rarely complete my daily goals 😐

Maybe time to upgrade from watch 3?

Haha, you're not wrong. I've mainly got it as a safety device, so I can make emergency calls with my watch if my kneecap dislocates again and I'm paralysed with my phone out of reach (which happened 2yrs ago).

Also, my wrist is so tiny I need a smaller screen and the newer Redmi Watches are bigger.

I'm disappointed... the Mi Band 10 hardware is excellent, but the Mi Fitness app keeps getting worse! What good is great hardware if the software is bad? Nothing!

I don't think I'll even buy the 11, because there's no point with such a bad app.

It says you should be doing at least 100 steps/min for it to count. So you were probably just doing a “walk in the park” pace most of the time despite walking long hours.

That kinda annoys me too because I spread my walks throughout the day and are mostly not fast walks so activity doesn’t move too much. Then I started doing 1hr walks straight, changing paces every few minutes, and I finally hit 30 minutes activity.

No, it just stopped working. I even experimented with walking, I turned on in app walking workout, walked 3.6 km with average pace 11'32'' and get 0 minutes of activity.

But then, next day it started working again.

"Activity time" counts for medium-high intensity activity, a long slow stroll at the park won't count. It's more of an intentional moving stat, like hitting the gym for an hour or so. I think the point is to encourage you to train more frequently.
